I've had couple of these amps in the past and this one is definitely going to stay. Being discontinued will only enhance the mystique and admiration for the Vibroverb. Someone mentioned that this amp is like a Deluxe Reverb on steroids. I can see the similarities but have to add that the Vibroverb adds fullness to my sound that I was missing with the Deluxe. I play out with friends, at home, and in the praise band. Not once has this amp failed me. A hand wired amp with finger-jointed pine cabinet that not everyone has. It still has the Fender sparkle and a bluezy crunchy drive. Go get yourself a Vibroverb. A Fender '64 Vibroverb Custom. You'll be happy you did.

Prowd owner of 9 Fender Tube amps and many more very nice Tube amps, I have ta say, This 64 VibroVerb Custom, is my Showcase & "Pride & Joy"! Men, Women, Boys, girls, Cats & dogs- Looks like the end of the line for the SRV & Ceaser Diaz Hot Rod USA Home Spun Hand Wired Hand Built Special! So if ya can find one here or anywhere before they are snatched up, you might better act like a mad dog after a bone & jump all over it! These will be worth there weight in gold a few years down the road! They are Now for that matter! Pound for Pound, Sound for Sound, Nothing touches this Amp! A 4 Real Classic! But No need to bore ya with all the technical Hype!(which blows must all others out of the water! Just re-read the specs!) If ya know Fenders at its best, If You know Tubes & True Sound & Quality, If You Know SRV & the likes, Enough Said-Ya Think!

I plugged into this Amp not expecting anything special, just checking out an Amp I've never played.

I was blown away at the tone I was hearing and as I played through the licks that have become kinda boring to me suddenly they sounded very colorful again and I had a big stupid grin on my face the whole time. I've owned this Amp 6 Months now and Im still in love with it, this Amp is a keeper.

I disagee with other poster that this is a "Pro Amp only" Im a basement Rock Star only and I highly recommmend this Amp if you can afford it.

If you play Blues, Jazz or Clasic Rock you must at least try this Amp. As others have said tone wise listen to Stevie Ray Vaughn song Lenny, thats one of the tones you can dail in. It's very easy to dail in a tone you will love, the hard part is deciding which one you like best.

The only knock on the Amp is it's price, thats why I give it a 4.5 and not a 5 star rating.

If your going to spend $2,500 I also recommend you try the new Revera Venus 6 (sweet)

This amp has one of the more beautiful clean tones I have heard in years. The mid range compression and warmth is unmistakably Fender. The reverb is of course the best in the business. And this little box does have a bite. If you choose to crank it, watch out. This is one loud and dirty amp but is not for home use. It is a pro amp that is meant for the studio and live apploications. If you want an unbelievable tone without any bells or whistles, this is your amp. This one definately won't be leaving your guitar once you try it.

Fender Vibroverb Custom-Excellent Sounding Amp

If you are looking for a great amp for blues, jazz, or clean rock, then this is YOUR amp! It sounds the best with a Strat, Texas Specials make it really sound "vintage", but HH Strats also sound really great too. If you want to really warm it up, then add a Tubescreamer in front of it and your will get THAT great sound. The only issue is the cost of the amp. Since Stevie Ray's death, the "vintage" market has went crazy and this follows suit, now that Cesar too has passed away, this is a double shot. Fender is a great American institution though, and it really is worth the price. It is just a shame that the up and comming youngsters cannot afford this amp. They are afterall, the next generation of players!
