Honey Blonde, Back Honey Blonde, Close Angle

This forerunner of the Telecaster was first named the "Broadcaster," but Fender had to remove the decals because of a conflict with Gretsch's registered "BroadKaster" name. So collectors dubbed it the "Nocaster." This faithful re-creation features an ash body, U-shape maple neck, single-ply black pickguard, and original spec pickups. Fender's astonishingly realistic created signs of wear give it the appearance of an axe that's been played for decades. Includes deluxe hardshell case.

I really wanted to write a good review, but Fender let me down. I was exited at the weight 6.78 lbs, the tone unplugged, awesome, then when I got passed the 12th fret came the buzz. Passed the 19th fret a whole step where it should've been a 1/2 step next fret same note. Next the pickup switch fell off not a big deal but along with one of the tuners slipping and the tone knob falling off as well it appeared that what was once was turned out at 1st with high quality is now being produced too fast. I'm sending mine back. If they send me a good one I will write another review of a possitive experience. HOPEFULL GUITAR PLAYER

timeless simplicity!

The utter simplicity of the Telecaster is what makes it so adaptable to all kinds of music, and the Nocaster is where it all started! From clean country licks to downright dirty blues. Harmonics that jump out so easily. Endless sustain with just an amp like a Vibrolux or Vibro-King and controls that are so reachable that with a little practice, you don't "need no stinkin' pedals"! The price seems a little high, but you get what you pay for and with this guitar you get the possibilities that players like Roy Buchanan, Danny Gatton, Arlen Roth, and others have found. A timeless instrument which will make you a better player if you let IT teach YOU!

Wanted to buy an American Deluxe Tele ...

Wanted to buy an American Deluxe Tele I've tried before and liked alot. Brought my Schecter PT Tele (which is very good) and grabbed another Tele from the shop to compare. In addition, I took the Custom Shop Nocaster as a reference. Kind of "don't worry, it's too expensive to even think about it" but too soon I had to think about it. I'm a professional, playing for more than 20 years, and this was the best guitar I've ever played (at the moment I'm owning 14 guitars). So I bought it. No regrets so far! -Michael

This girl screams! built to take the abuse of hard gigging and has the looks that blow people away. Mine is an early one so it looks like it was left out in the rain, complete with rust. I don't believe they relic them quite as much these days. But can this baby Play! Of couse again it's a Tele, and if you can't play guitar that well it will make you look like a fool. This is definitely a guitar slingers guitar. So if you can do it with just your hands and an amp, minus an array of pedals this guitar will pull tone down from the Heavens and up from Hell.

I believe this is a very beautiful guitar. Just thinking about all the work the people at Fender put into this work of art is amazing. I love everything about this guitar. It is what yours would look like if it was from that year. You may have played it all these years or it may be a family heirloom passed down to you. That's the vibe this time warped six string gives off. Plus, you,ve got to admire the history behind this instument. I always think about the great players like the Rolling Stones,Tom Petty & the Hearbreakrs,Aerosmith, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Muddy Waters, George Harrison, Jimmy Page, Pete Townshend, and such a diverse group of artists who have depended on Telecaters for at least on part of their life. I see all these old, beat up looking Teles in music stores, magazines, online, and I never wonder how they go that way. I know that if all these musical heroes choose to play Teles, there is no doubt in my mind how they made it this far and how they will be with us far into the future.
