I always wanted a Zakk Wylde Les Paul but there is no way I'm paying 6000 bucks for any guitar just because it has Gibson on the headstock! I got a great deal on this and had the EMG 81 and 85 installed and I cannot put it down! I have played the Gibson version and I'm telling you there is not enough difference to warrent paying for the name. I use this live on almost a weekly basis and it just rips! I do all our drop C tunes with it and it is just effortless to play. I want the camo and the buzzsaw now! The neck fits my hand perfect and it stays in tune no matter what. And I like the weight and feel. The on reason I gave it a 4.5 overall is because I wish it came with the active pickups.

Ok. So I bought this guitar last year because I wanted a guitar for metal/hardcore stuff. I had bough a standard Epi Les Paul the previous year but I still wanted something a little heavier. I was not let down at all. Do NOT believe anything bad about this guitar. Just play it first and make your own assumptions. The neck has an unfinished paint job, but it actually makes it more playable then the regular paint on normal Les Pauls. the action is perfect. The Grover tuners keep it in tune nicely. Now, about the pickups. IN NO WAY DO THESE PICKUPS SOUND TERRIBLE OR UNCLEAR. They are actually amazing. As said before, I would maybe suggest putting 81/85's in there later but it is not needed right away. These pickups are fine. I've played many gigs with this thing for the year I've had it and I'm nothing but thrilled with it. It's held up against the best. Definitely recommended.

I have never liked the Les Paul until now. This is the only one I have ever liked. The action is superb, it's heavy body makes it sustain nicely, and the tuners are still pretty true. The only weak spot is the wiring / electronics. The volume knobs are not consistent for the output of each pickup. If you buy it, consider replacing the passive pickups to active 81/85.

So i bought this guitar not expecting much, and it turned out to be ALOT better than i imagined. The wood on the neck and frets was outstanding and beautiful. And the grover tuners were the best, helped me get in tune so quickly! The pickups are really good, they can catch great pitch harmonics and sound equally good in the bridge and neck position. When i played it,it was different. It felt better and was so unique to the other guitars you can buy today.Don't hesitate! Buy one now!

the guitar has a very nice look and has a good sound but thats about it. I played this at guitar center i have always liked the way les pauls looked so i tried it out. At first i played it sitting down which was pretty comfortable. The neck was so uncomfortable it is wide and fat which makes it very hard to play fast. Then i stood up playing, and it was HEAVY!!! It has a bright clean tone which is very clear, but with all the tone and volume nobs the sound never changed.
