Amazing Guitar

This guitar is amazing. It has such a good tone, and a good strong feel for all those rockers out there thinking about buying it. It's neck makes it easy to access all notes high or low. The body is beautiful. Red or brown, it looks amazing. The guitar feels like a signature SG but at a fraction of the price. All those interested, this is a great guitar. Perfect for AC/DC fans(like myself).

I bought this for my grandson as a starter because I will not let him play one of mine. Very impressive; pickups have punch, intonation is perfect all the way up the neck. Still don't like the three piece red snapper upper neck joint but that's the drawback of Gibson/Epiphone. I was more than pleasantly surprised at how well this guitar plays.

This guitar is amazing. I just got it today and I couldn't wait to take it out of the box and play. I love the feel and look of the wood, as the Vintage really shows off the grain. My mom saw me playing this when she got home and was about to go off on me. She didn't believe me when I told her the price. She thought I had used my college money to buy this guitar. The price is amazing and oddly, it is one hundred less than the "New" sg 400. I'm not sure if it is for the hardware, or if the other sg 400 is more because it is glossy. The vintage look of this looks so much more luxurious than its Glossy counterpart. You can actually admire the mahogany on this, not having it buried under an avalanche worth of lacquer. Very organic and you feel like you can breathe and play seeing the beautiful wood breathe and live.

Epi Vintage G-400 amp pack

I've been a drummer all my life starting at age 10 but guitar playing has always been a sideline passion. After other guitars over the years, I've been playing Epiphone acoustic/electric for the last decade. Now at age 50, I finally decided to learn and enjoy the fun that electric guitar playing offers. I've always liked the SG guitar and I've rocked in numerous bands so I have experienced working with the sound of many SG's over the years. I ordered the G-400 Epiphone SG amp pack and 6 days later it was delivered to my door. The order was accurate, complete and in excellent condition. My new faded brown Epiphone SG (wood tone satin finish) is everything I wanted for a starter guitar. Had to make some minor adjustments on the "tunomatic" bridge to set the string intonation properly. The action was just right for me but after one week I put on new Gibson strings designed for humbucker pickups. I tellya, the whole rig feels and sounds great now!!! When the guitarists in the band tried it out, they REALLY made it crank! Running thru the band's full sound system, I got goosebumps hearing my new axe played by experts. My order also included the Epiphone case made for the SG. The guitar fits perfectly in the case. This case does NOT emit some foul odor as I have read in other reviews. The only negative was the handle on the case broke immediately. One little pin fell out and instead of going thru the whole return process, I easily fixed it myself and it will never fail again. Once again, a satisfied customer.

I purchased this guitar this past spring as a way to get back into music after a long hiatus. I was truly blown away by how close it sounded to the original SG, which I had owned as well once upon a time before marriage and kids. I have nothing but good things to say about this vintage G400. Great sustain, looks, and fantastic crunch under my Marshall half stack. Do yourself a favor and save some money and get cha one!!!
