One Amazing Guitar

This guitar does have its ups and downs, but get it set up properly and it's amazing! I definitely recommend this guitar, but take it to your local guitar shop as soon as you get it.

Pros: -Ridiculously low action once you get it set up properly -Sounds amazing distorted -No fret buzz once set up properly -Lightweight -Fast, "Wizard" profile neck -High frets are effortless to reach

Cons: -Action is super high until you get it set up properly -Bridge needs to be put on backwards to intonate properly -G string tends to go flat -Clean sound is very bassy -Input jack is in a really bad spot. I stepped on my cable once and CRACK! I spent about $30 to get it fixed and they put a plate on it...be REALLY careful with this! -Neck heavy, but to fix that just go to Guitar Center and buy one of those straps with the bullets on it, and put it on BACKWARDS! Doing that PERFECTLY balances this beast.

One overrated guitar

I bought this guitar used for half the price it goes for new, and it wasn't even worth that. The pickups this comes with are NOT true Gibson Tony Iommi hummers. The sound is horrible, the finish is cheap, and the features are a joke. This is a toy. Please save your money and buy a real Gibson. Epiphone should change the name to "Embarrasment".

The Best Epiphone.

I've had this guitar a little over a year, and I love it. You can get a classic 70's hard rock tone, a classic thrash sound ala Metallica or Testament, and it sounds good clean too. If you're going to get an Epiphone, get this one. I've played a lot of Epiphones in guitar stores, and this one comes out on top. I even prefer this one to the Gibsons I've played. The only thing I don't like about this guitar is the toggle switch, a few months ago it started shorting out when I flipped to the neck pickup once and a while, but that's not that big a deal, since I usually just use the bridge pickup anyway. So yeah, this guitar is NOT a cheapo beginner's guitar, if you play metal, this guitar will satisfy, I promise.

In my opinion it is just amazing. The neck might be a little heavy but with a good strap you can't tell. Plays Great, sounds great. Get DR red devils.
