Black Cherry, Headstock

The SG Prophecy Custom GX Electric Guitar from Epiphone is based on the original SG design. But this Prophecy GX has 2 Dirty Fingers humbucker pickups. Other lavish, Prophecy features on this guitar include a highly figured quilt maple top, pearl knobs, strap locks, graphite nut, Grover tuners, a bound ebony fingerboard, unique blade inlay, and a deep, rich black finish. The hard maple set neck and 24-fret ebony fingerboard provide a playground two full octaves in length. The LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece add more sustain and make string changing easier.

The SG Prophecy guitar's Gibson pickups are extreme-output units designed for more of everything. Much more clarity and volume than a traditional humbucker and an incredible, aggressive, wide response. The Gibson Dirty Fingers pickup comes with a 4-conductor lead and is wax-potted to eliminate unwanted microphonic feedback. Coil-splitting options on both pickups mean you'll never run out of tone options.

I got this for Christmas last year and it has been in the same condition for almost a year now. I recomend buying this. It is pretty much a Gibson. The only bad part is that it is top heavy. Other than that, I recomend this guitar.

whole my life i have been playing on an Epiphone G400.. and this guitar is just awesome ! But i needed a second guitar for gig's.. so i bought this one, and what can i say .. I'll take my g400 as backup guitar and this prophecy as main ;) The EMG pickups are great ! and it just plays as good as the g400 .. Only here are 24 frets, EMG pickups, KILLER look, better fretboard etc etc . ;) just great

The best guitar I own

I own 7 guitars and this is the one that I like the best. The other guitars that I own are a gibson SG custom, a Hammer Monaco III Custom, an American Fender Strat Deluxe etc... And You know what? this Epiphone SG is far better than the other expensive guitars that I own. Soundwise, the Dirty fingers pickups are totally versatile and give the right sound each time from single coil option to screaming distortion for ever. The neck is fast, setup to perfection. now, the finish of the guitar is gorgeous, no problem what so ever, beautiful wood tones. At the fraction of the price you can own a superb guitar that can rival any custom American axes. Epiphone did really well on the one.

Just WOW!

I have not figured out why this is not a $2500 Gibson. This guitar is a work of art, puts my Gibson Les Paul to shame. I have collected and played many guitars and this one is special. The finish, neck and the Tennessee set up were spectacular. The Dirty Fingers pickups with the coil tap allows for both the hot and heavy Humbucker sound and the Strat is right there also. It is my favorite and, although I just work in my studio these days, this is a guitar that I use on multiple tracks on my blues and rock. Spectacular guitar at ANY price.

This guitar is sweet looking from the beautiful finish to the mother of pearl inlays. The action was to high, so I adjusted it down, and replaced the strings. No big deal, guitar sounds awesome.
