I got this guitar over a year ago and already had to buy an new one, but I bought it to learn how to play.

I believe it is a good price for the guitar, but if you are a not a beginner then I would not suggest it for you.

It is made good for youth or people who prefer smaller guitars.

Well, I notice some people were happy with it and some unhappy. Well, I've own 2 and they were both worlds apart in craftsmanship and in quality of sound. The first one well lack of a better term was a borderline piece of crap. The intonation was off, the truss rod was warped and nonadjustable, like it was stuck and the amp started buzzing if I went past 3 on the volume dial.

Now for the second one, Why buy it? Well, people were giving it such good revues I figured I got a lemon. So I decided if I'm going to try to buy a decent one I was going to test them, (so don't be shy about asking to test-play a few of them if your local music store has them.) And I was amazed at the difference. The truss rod was adjusted perfectly, the intonation was just right and the amp was of better quality. So there you have it. Some are made better than others. You just need to try them before you buy them.

Great Guitar/Amp Pkg. For the $$

I was looking for a decent sounding acoustic electric guitar that I could keep at our cottage for gigging at the beach, practice, etc --and that was inexpensive enough that I wouldn't worry about if something happened to it (I've got seven other top-quality acoustics and electrics that I keep at home) -- and this package exceeded all my expectations. The sound was good, the finish was good, and the price couldn't be beat -- and the Epiphone 15W amp is quite a bonus, too. The guitar sounds great amplified, too. Workmanship was pretty good -- frets were a bit sharp, but that was because the neck had dried out a bit and left the edges a bit rough. My guitar tech put new Martin SP strings on, smoothed the fret edges a tish and, as Ted Nugent says, "I was locked, cocked and ready to rock." This is a great second acoustic guitar for the money.

This is my first guitar and I am taking lessons from a guy in a rock and roll band. Although, I'm just learning, my teacher makes this guitar sound AMAZING! Don't hesitate, this is a good one. Rock on!!

Great Beginner Guitar

I am a junior player and I love this guitar. The quality is kinda OK or kinda good. I love the guitar for its control panel. The jack is pretty good, sometimes you have to tighten it but it is pretty good. The guitar is a very comfortable guitar to hold. The shape makes it easy to play. The reason I rated features 3.0 a very obvious reason, the amp is small and if you turn it up it screams and the sound in not clear, second the cord is crap! it has all ready broken. The guitar is a great guitar for learning and practicing but it can not withstand the stage (or rough players). Overall the guitar is a pretty good buy.
