Epiphone is best known for their line of very inexpensive guitars but they can and do build some absolutely great guitars. The Masterbilt series is simply amazing for the dollar. I have the AJ 500 M and it sounds better than the two Martins I've owned. A solid wood guitar with a bone saddle and nut, Grover Sta-tite tuners and a subtly gorgeous matte finish...possibly the best bang for the buck in guitars.

I received my Epiphone Masterbilt DR-500P yesterday. I was surprised at the quality of the instrument. The fit and finish was flawless. I love the satin finish of the DR-500P. It has a rich tone and the action is great. Great guitar at a great price.

I recently compared the masterbuilt series guitars side by side with martins, taylors, and seagulls.

I really could not believe the quality of this instrument! It looks great, plays better, and sounds the BEST!

I plan on buying one within the next couple of months!

The Epiphone DR500P is one of the best bargains in the guitar world! My taste runs to Taylors and Martins, but my budget just won't support them. But now there is no need to sacrifice the tone I love just because my wallet is a little thin. The maple bodied DR500p has unbelievable tone and quality construction at a great price! If you like bright tone, lots of sustain, and loads of harmonic depth, this guitar will deliver, with no reason to take a back seat to the expensive brands. Add a Tusq saddle, like I did, and get even more outstanding sound! Buy this guitar before Epiphone figures out what it's really worth!

I just received my guitar on monday. I did abit of research on the Epiphone masterbuilt series guitars before I ordered it. All I can say to anyone that may have doubts about buying an Epiphone is check one of these out before you spend twice the money on something that doesnt even sound as good! Solid maple sounds incredible and great sustain. This guitar dispels any doubts that Epiphone can make a great guitar.
