If you want the same sound & quality for under $1500...you won't find it anywhere else. The DR-500M comes with 'old style' Grover tuners, solid wood throughout and a satin finish. There is a reason for the 'satin finish' vs. a glossy finish. This lets the sound 'resonate' better thus producing full, rich lows & bright, crisp, clean highs. Final note: I am NOT a kid...I've been around the block. This will be the last acoustic guitar I will ever need or want.

I have either played or owned most of the better know acoustics out there over the past 34 years and have got to give this DR-500M the hands down two thumbs up. The only thing I've done to this beauty since I've got it is change to Martin phosphor-bronze medium strings. The tones, up and down the neck are second to none of the other guitars that I own, and that includes my Martin and my Gibson. Averaging 4 hours a night 5 nights a week of playing, this mahogany wonder keeps asking for more. As long as she gets a new set of strings each night, we're both happy.

I set out to purchase a Taylor, Martin or Breedlove and compared all three to this at my local music store. I picked up the Epiphone Masterbilt DR-500M Acoustic Guitar and was completely blown away at how comfortable and fast the neck & fret-board felt and fell in love with the incredible sound. I ordered one here immediately and was also pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Epiphone rigid gig bag with hygrometer. The only guitar I have EVER played that sounds better is a Gibson. Buy this guitar, this is a GREAT deal!

I bought my Epiphone DR500M this past weekend and just like so many others stated, I cannot put it down. I strummed on some Taylors, Martins and Seagulls but as soon as I strummed this guitar, I was sold. It has great tone and fast neck so it is great for running leads. I turned it upside down and cannot find anything wrong with it. Great harmonics too.

NICE LITTLE GEM FROM EPI

I like this EPI for the moderate price, playability and extremely nice case. It's not anything special but just a well built, nice playing acoustic guitar. What really sold me was the inclusion of a super nice case. Almost too nice of a case for such a plain looking guitar. The action on the guitar was set pretty low, so you get the occasional fret buzz on the higher frets, but it is very easy to play. I would look into this one for a beginners guitar if you can afford it. I use mine for practice only. Don't think it would fair too well for stage use. but it does resonate a nice sound. Pretty clear.
