Someone said they were looking for a banger guitar. Play this one and it will become your baby. Nothing striking about the appearance. This guitar was built to be played and you'll love playing it. I've done alot of solo work and this instrument is the orchestra I wish I had behind me the past thirty years. There are some beautiful guitars I'd buy to decorate my living room but this is the one I'd play to entertain. Play one.

When most people think about Epiphone, they think of cheaper versions of Gibson guitars. That is completely not the case with this guitar, and with all the Masterbilt series for that matter. I purchased this with part of my graduation money, and I haven't stopped playing it yet. I only gave it 4.5 stars for features because it doesn't have EQ. This is not a real problem though, since any acoustic amp or soundboard has plenty of EQ. The neck is the smoothest thing I've ever felt, and it has a greatly balanced tone with a very full bottom end. Beautiful!

This is a wonderful guitar that was 'handcrafted in China'. It has surprising depth and richness for its price. I can't find a flaw in craftsmanship anywhere. The set up is good right out of the box. It comes with a great semi hard gig bag. As for the sound, I always look for a certain depth and richness out of any guitar I play or buy. Regardless of its brand name, reputation and price if it doesn't have it I am not interested. Well, this one does and I couldn't be more pleased. Money well spent!

This Guitar Has Heart

I have owned many guitars over the past 30+ years of playing semi-pro and I haven't found the full distinct tone of this Masterbilt in an acoustic near this price. No quality issues at all with mine, but it did need a bit of setup tweaking. I gave it a 9 on features because so many acoustic-electric guitars have tone controls or an eq. case is much cooler than I thought it would be.

I am truely amazed at the sound this guitar produces. Booming base and crystal clear higher end. I mean this baby is super loud unplugged. Really a beautiful guitar at a reasonable price. I really like the sound the jumbo body produces. It's like night and day compared to regular sized acoustic. And easy to play. Very smooth action. Another bonus is the outstanding case it comes with. Very slight buzzing in higher strings but the large sound really overcomes this pretty much. Haven't had the need to change strings, usually an automatic when purchasing a new guitar, but this baby sounded so good as is. I recommend the masterbilt jumbo. Best sound for the money. Why spend thousands on american made when you can get all the sound you need from the cheaper model? (cheaper in price not quality) The masterbilt series is definitely one of Epiphone's greatest achievement in a long line of excellent and affordable guitars.
