About once a month I get together with about 5 other guys for an accoustic jam. I usually play my Gibson J-45. The other guys all have high-dollar Martins or Taylors. One has a (beautiful) Breedlove.

This month I brought my Masterbuilt to the jam and it was the star of the show. The other guys were just blown away by how great it sounded and played. They all agreed that my Masterbuilt sounded as good or better than any guitar at the jam (and I've got a feeling I'll be seeing another Masterbuilt or two at future jams).

Unbelievably the Masterbuilt sounds better than my J-45 and much louder.

I'm sure none of us would've believed it until we heard it with our own ears.

What a great guitar. I couldn't be happier with it.

Beautiful Instrument

I recently purchased the AJ-500M (Natural Satin, Nickel) and received it about two weeks ago. Since then I have been getting to know this guitar and have been extremely impressed with it. The satin finish is beautifully done. Not as flashy as a gloss top but still very pleasing to the eye. The finish on the spruce top appears darker in person than in the photos posted at MF. The mahogany on the back, sides and neck is gorgeous, and the construction appears very sturdy. The only blemishes my close inspection could find were a small area of the fretboard binding that seems to have a bit of adhesive residue on it, and the pick-guard could have been executed with more precision, but this is minor stuff indeed considering the apparent overall quality. The guitar plays beautifully. The set-up out of the box was superb, with the action exactly to my liking, excellent for finger-picking. The only change I made was to put on a new set of strings. The neck is smoother than glass and the guitar is very easy on the fretting hand. Not only does the guitar play easily, but it sounds beautiful, with a well balanced tone across the strings and up the neck. It has awesome sustain and is very responsive. I can't recommend this guitar enough. In my opinion, at the current price it is a remarkable value.

I just purchased this guitar recently and I can't put it down. It sounds great, looks pretty and was made with great craftsmanship. Also, I assure you that it beats every other guitar in it's price range. I know because I tried them all before I decided to buy this one.

Solid wood, classic Epiphone build

I got mine for Christmas, and love it. It just flat out sounds better than any of the other guitars I have tried. It is also much easier to play than others I tried, more tolerant to a beginner that does not hit the bottom of the fret for all the three spots on all chords.

I have had this guitar for a year and I love it, I own a Gibson SJ200 and had purchased the Epiphone for a second guitar. I play the Epiphone more than the Gibson.
