I've had this guitar for a year now and I am very pleased. The pickups give you the most metal tone as you can get! the strings stay in tune well as long as you dont hork the tremolo too hard. I am very pleased with the maestro except for the fact that the whammy bar does not screw off, so even though you can turn it around, it still gets pushed down slightly when in its case. Oh, and do you see that little white plastic tip at the end of the whammy bar? that doesnt look so great but you can take it off without any tools, just simply pull it and it comes off trust me the guitar looks way better without it. So overall this is a very good guitar; perfect for metal, blues, jazz, you name it, this guitar suits everybodies genre of music and playing style. And for this price, you can't go wrong my friend. BUY THIS GUITAR YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!!!!!

I've had my new SG now for about a month. It came from the factory with a neck that was straight as an arrow. I put 10-46 half rounds on it and I get low action with no buzz anywhere. With the maestro on this guitar you need "nut sauce" on the nut and then it stays in tune. I have just a touoh of binding in the nut on one string and that is easily remedied. I usually take the pickups out of my epi's and replace them with P-90's...this guitar suprised me with the clarity and tone! I think I'll keep the pickups and overall I am very happy with this guitar. The only gripe I have is that the selector switch is scratchy and is in need of a good contact spray to rectify this problem. I play fingerstyle and this thing is comfortable with a nice tone and a awesome neck. Who says SG's are just for "Rock and Roll"...?

I own one now for 4 years. excellent guitat I put it up against a Les Paul any day light weight does not wear you out and the pick-up humbuckers are like heaven. I have a 70's strat which is my pride and joy but I am afraid to use it because of its valune. I am afraid it will be stolen. The pickups are double the power of the strat and the neck is excellent for those scraming leads in the high register. You cannot go wrong the neck is set not bolted all the quality of a Gibson and 1/10 the price. Get one the Mastero is excellent for Steveie Ray and the pick-ups for rock give you that harmoinc bluesy to0ne. You won't go wrong

I got this same guitar about a year ago while it was still in white. The only differance was a third pickup in the middle. I was very impressed. It was a huge step up from my squire '51 strat.

Features: Excelent. The maestro is a nice touch. Just be weary and crazy abrupt movement WILL ut you out of tune. I noticed my middle stings were most vunerable. But not a big deal if your rockin solo is at the end of a song... The beauty of this guitar is exceptional. Even with just a plain top finish, the gold hardware makes it SHINE*. And the inlays on the headstock are pearly white and makes the guitar look like a virgin every time i pick it up. The action is unbelievable. It is better than most low end Gibson's. The rosewood fretboard is smooth and all the frets were nicely dressed. I set it up in less than an hour so right out of the factory it played great.

Sound: I got some pretty cersatile sound out of mine. Anywhere from clean, echo-y old school solo tone to heavy metal pinch harmonic solos. I'd say that the guitar can best play anything clean up until classic rock. But the pickups couldn't catch enough face melting tone for metal as i would like. But thats not what the guitar is made for so i'd give sound a 3.5 out of 5.

Quality was second to only a $1000 gibson... seriously.

Out of the factory she was ready to be played with no problems...

Vaue: For the money, you can't go wrong.

Overall: 4.5, because there is obviously a better guitar out there. But since i dount have that deep of pockets, this was my choice and i was thouroughly impressed.
