I've had this guitar for about a week now. when it first came in, I couldn't believe how light it was and the feel was unreal. plugging it in both of the pickups greatly exceeded my expectations; it sounds very good with any playing style, clean or distorted. surprising amount of sustain as well. my cousin and I both like the sound and feel more than his ibanez that cost over twice as much. breakdown: feel that makes you want to keep playing it, retro style, great sound and versatility. at this price? absolutely peerless!

First of ll let me tell you one thing-this guitar is great. I got my first one in August but it had some problems so I got another. It has some great features for the price, like humbuckers and block inlays. The case is also pretty good. It's a great practice guitar, and a good main one too. I bought it as my second guitar to replace my SG G310, which isn't doing so good. I'm thinking of putting a bigsby on it because it gives guitars some more style. So if this guitar fits your requirements, go get it!

I just got this guitar(2/5/10) and I'm in love. I'm not going to say its as good as a Gibson cause its not. That being said as long as your not obsessed with collecting or the Gibson name this is the one to get. But if you have 3 grand just sitting around go for it. Ive read the other reviews about getting bad guitars from epiphone. It is true bad ones slip through. But as a factory worker in three different industries I can tell you it happens to all company's. And even if you get a bad one fix it or send it back for a new one. Once you get a working one you wont be disappointed.

This is an excellent guitar. It is surprisingly light weight for a solid mahogany guitar. The neck is narrow, which I like and very playable. The classic humbucker sound is amazing. This guitar sits next to my customized Fender Stratocaster as one of my most frequently played guitars.

I sold my Epiphone Dot to a friend recently, and turned around with the money made to buy this. I liked the Dot, but it never felt like I wanted it too, and I had hoped this one would. It seemed more my style, and, I'll admit, the white finish was classy. It arrived and it was strange... A good guitar, but just not for me. Out of the box, the intonation was pretty decent, but the strings wouldn't stay in tune at all. I played it for a while, stretched the strings, but it still wouldn't keep in tune. I plugged it into my Marshall JCM900 and it sounded pretty good, but I couldn't get my hand to agree with the D-shaped neck, and, as stated numerous times in other reviews, the output jack came apart within minutes. While it's not the hardest fix, it WAS annoying. I am returning the guitar and sitting on the money for a while. Maybe I will try the Worn version of the same guitar.

TL;DR - It played and sounded decent enough, but I did not fall in love. I wouldn't recommend it, but I wouldn't bash it, either.
