I know i already put up a review already. but after a couple of months of playing, i began to realize a few VERY IMPORTANT MALFUNCTIONS!!!! the first bad thing that began to happen, and already happened twice, was that the volume of the bridge pickup was screwing up bad. when the volume was at zero, that vol. was off (usual), but when you turned it up 1/2 way, that was the loudest it got! and when it got to 10, the vol. was off again!!! Like i said before, this has already happened twice. And IMO, the biggest screw-up with this guitar was the frets, which are the most important part of any guitar. I just realized this about 2 weeks ago, when i started to solo more often. THE FRETS ARE NOT PARTED THE DISTANCE THEY SHOULD BE!!!!!!!!! the difference in the 1st fret and the 13th fret is about a 1/2 step down on all of the strings! it's a problem you CAN'T FIX on the guitar! and this thing was $600! Terrible quality of the guitar, especially considering the price. Looks great, but that's it.

if you are only buying a guitar for its looks, then this is the guitar for you!

I bought this guitar when it was on sale because it was too much of a deal to pass up. The guitar came set up superbly. I guess I may have lucked out and got a good one because this thing kicks major ass. At first, I didn't find the finish to be that great, it looked different than I expected but once I got it out in some light and played it.. the thing was Stunning to say the least. The guitar blew me away once I played it. I spent too much time reading about all the reviews, blogs and info dogging epiphone quality but this guitar, right out of the box was incredible. Great hardware, sustains for days. If your interested, I'd recommend trying it.. maybe you'll get one like mine :)

I just received this beauty the other day. First impressions looks wise, were amazement. This is a very stunningly beautiful guitar. I got the red sparkle one. First negative I have is, I think it's almost embarrassing that epiphone claims to "set up" each guitar in the US because this guitar was not even close to being considered "set up". I am not really a guitar set up snob or something with very specific needs. I just think that the condition it came in was ridiculous. The neck was bent, electronics loose, rattling in the bridge, loose screws, it was hardly put together! If you get the RED SPARKLE version you get Gold Hardware (not silver/nickle like the blue and silver sparkle versions). The first day I had the guitar, the gold glimmered and shimmered. BY THE SECOND day, the gold hardware was already rubbed off!! Hah, it was a joke! I've had it a week and it looks like its been used for 5 years! The gold hardware is just ridiculous, to even call it gold colored is far fetched. Now for the good: This guitar is absolutely beautiful, it is the most eye catching LP there is, even out of the custom shop. After you set the guitar up properly and put some new strings on, this is an amazing thick sounding guitar. It just has that heavy chunk you can't get out of a knock off. Last thing, if you do not know how to properly set up a guitar, Have someone do it professionally. IT WILL BE THE BEST MONEY YOU WILL SPEND. Seriously, I cannot stress this enough. GET IT SET UP PROFESSIONALLY. Amazing guitar, at an amazing price.

Don't buy a used Standard from ebay when you can get a new guitar PLUS a warranty and a free case. The sound is excellent!! And if you don't like it, Send it back! I have the Silver and it's beautiful! I would recommend.

could not believe the inspectors ever looked at this guitar they must have just open the box and placed stickers on it! It took a lot of work to set this ax up. from the action to the tail. The strings were about a quarter of an inch of the neck. The strut rod was literally loose.

NOW for the good! after all this it is incredable inrich sound, equal in ever way to my Gibson les paul. The finish is very lovely! All of the electronics are the way they should be. I highly recomend this for anyone. If you are not a luther or guitar tech take it to one to have it set up AND I asure you it will be a prize worthy of owning
