Too good to pass up

I have played MANY LP's by both Gibson and Epiphone. You can do better with way more money...but why? I have the epi les paul custom slv bst 2007, slapped some grovers on it, switched the Alnico's out for some 81/85 EMG's, had work done to the pots, and the switch. Now it plays as well if not better than most other Gibsons I have played (final price for everything came out to $870ish). I get the performance and sound I want, for a fraction of the price. You can't go wrong. Its a smidge lighter than other Les Pauls (which I like). I run mine thorugh a Marshall HDFX100/B-52 Stealth Series Slant cab and a Fender Frontman 212R combo (depending on where I am playing). I use a boss ME-70 stompbox. In all, super pleased.

So about a month or 2 ago i saved up enough money to buy a better guitar and amp (gonna need a new amp btw) so i went down to the nearest guitar center to try out some guitars. when I got there i tried numorous brands and models, such as, dean, schecter, Ibanez, all of it, and this was i think the first one i tried. to say the least i was blown away by not only how beautiful the silverburst was, but how the sound was just as beautiful. so after I decided to put it down i played other varieties of guitars to see if any of them would match the quality of this les paul. needless to say i couldn't match the sound and bought it so no one else could. Buy this guitar the cost of this beast is nothing compared to the quality, you definitly won't regret it.

A Owners Honest Review

I have had this Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Custom for some time now. Mine is a 2007 model bought in early 2008. I purchased this guitar on looks alone. I had to have the silverburst. I purchased this online and to be honest, I was a little disappointed when I got it in my hands. I own a 2001 Epi Les Paul and it weighs more and the quality is almost twice that of this "Custom Shop Limited Edition" silverburst Epi LP. What is "Limited" about it? Mine is a late 2007 and they are still making these? They are all over the place. Had I known they would still be making these to this date, I would have walked away. I see all these rave review here and wonder if any owners of this guitar have owned an earlier Epi LP model and notice the difference in quality and sound. This is a good value but you can find a better quality Epi LP used for cheaper than this.

First off, aside from sounding like an angel sent from heaven, this guitar looks absolutely amazing. I didn't even touch it for a week after I got it because I was nervouse of putting anytime of mark on it. Its like a beautiful black and white photo on steroids. Everyone who has seen it has commented on how good it looks. Now onto how it sounds. It has ounces of sustain. I was amazed at how long this thing held notes. It also has great action, and no fret buzz right out of the box. I absolutely love the case that comes with it. All in all I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I will also be purchasing the Gibson Studio Silverburst here shortly, however I don't regret getting this guitar and would do it again if I had the chance.

This Les Paul is awesome. of course its my first LES PAUL but Ive been playing for some time now and this thing rocks. I did lower the bridge on it and changed the strings just minor stuff you do with a new guitar. but once I did this thing just rocked and rocked and rocked. If your looking for a great guitar and have a little spending cash I would NOT past this one up
