Epiphone offers the rest of us a quality guitar for an economic price.... I'm a family man with other things to do with my money than drop $1.200.00 on a guitar. Sure, I'd love to own a Gibson Hummingbird but, its just not gonna happen...So I got the Epiphone version. I'm VERY pleased with the choice. Solid construction, good looks and sweet tone. All that you'de expect from a drednaught guitar-boomin lows and a "polished" high register. Easy to play and a nice looking guitar. I own the cherry burst and its a bright, attractive guitar. The neck inlays are nice and the pickguard is a nice classic touch. I recomend changing the strings and bridge-pins. A professional set up has mine playing like a cloud. I fully recomend this guitar for the budget minded guitarist who looks for QUALITY and VALUE. Great job Epiphone.

I bought this guitar for my friends who stop by to have a few ,and play without bringing out my other guitars . If you don't have big strong hands this guitar needs a lot of setup. looks good plays tough.

I also thought the color was way brighter than the picture looks like but thats beside the point. This guitar sounds great! lowered the action quite a bit, and now is quite easy to play. If you are loking for a guitar for the campfire circle this is it. looks great and sounds great

Amazing Quality Guitar!

I've been playing for the past 50 years, and I needed a "beater" guitar to take around to small gigs and jam sessions and not have to worry about messing up my vintage guitar. Decided on this Limited Edition Hummingbird, since I've always wanted one - - never could afford a real Gibson, so thought this might make a decent beater. I really wasn't expecting much, for the money I was investing. But, let me tell you, this thing is amazing! Mine is the Faded Cherry version, and after the initial shock of how bright orange it was (the pictures are not even close to the true brightness!) I can live with the color OK, and in fact it's kind of appealing. Sure does grab the attention of the audience, too. Next thing I noticed out of the box was the sheer neatness and quality construction of this guitar. Very neat inlays on the shiny, almost polished rosewood fingerboard. The frets were silky smooth and very shiny, and it played like butter. Intonation was perfect all the way up the neck, which was a fairly fat "C" shape, but I like the fatness - - great for bar chords. The finish was flawless, with nice white binding and beautiful figured mahogany back & sides (laminate), but surprisingly lightweight. The one-piece top really booms, and after taking it to an outdoor concert recently, I believe it's actually louder than my sure-nuff Gibson J-35, which is no small feat. The tone that this thing pumps out is almost unbelieveable - - wasn't expecting that from a new guitar. Of course, I had to do the usual set-up - - lowered the action at the fingerboard nut and saddle, and adjusted the torque rod, and lost the crappy stock strings and added med.-light D'Addario's, and it's really a pleasure to play now. I find myself playing this Hummingbird much more than my others now. It stays in tune great, and I love the classic green "keystone" tuners - -very smooth and accurate. The nice understated pickguard also adds to the vintage look, and I am totally blown away by this guitar. Now, obviously, this is NOT a Gibson Hummingbird, or I'm not implying that it's equal in every way to that guitar, but to tell the truth I just can't see shelling out an extra $2500 for a guitar that looks almost identical and that sounds about the same. I'll never be able to afford a real Hummingbird, but for my purposes this guitar will do just fine, thank you. There's nothing to be ashamed of here, and I'll put it out in front of a lot of guitars costing 5X the price in sound and playability anytime. Maybe this one was just a fluke, but it has that BIG Gibson flattop sound that you're paying all that extra $$$$ for when buying the real thing. I've played all my life, all kinds of guitars, and do repairs and set-up professionally, and I must say again this guitar is amazing. If you need a good-sounding, great-looking guitar for a song, this one is a no-brainer. Buy this guitar!
