It does the trick...

This is a great guitar to purchase if you are looking for the double neck experience. The guitars quailty is more then enough to satisfy anyone to some degree plus the thing is a looker.

It plays just fine, although just like any guitar you may need to have it setup. The 12 string sound great at both tube overdrive and tube screamer od, and of course the six string takes care of business on its end.

There are plenty of small things that will let you know it is a Gibson quality instrument, but these are things that can be overlooked by the working musician.

With that said, when this thing breaks down to unplayable or just gets worn all the way out (I play alot and have already had it for 3 years) I will probably save up and wait out for the Gibson. There is a difference unfortunately.

But, this one does great for now!

I bought this guitar a little over a month ago and it is a great guitar! It plays great, it looks great, and it sounds great! It is heavy but it is two guitars in one so you cannot expect it to be light. It has an lifetime warranty which is great so you never have to worry about paying for any defects in the guitar. The tuning is phenominal. I tuned it the day I got it and never had to tune it since. The toggle switches are great it makes the guitar sound really good. The factory strings on it are perfect. My only complaint is that if you buy a guitar like this it should come with a case. But other than that, this is a GREAT guitar.

I've wanted a Gibson double neck for two decades now. Price was always the kicker, and I was reluctant to do the Epi. BIG MISTAKE! I should have got this guitar ages ago. The tuners are precise, and it STAYS in tune (even the factory-new strings)! That was a shocker - I was thinking of tweeking it with Gibson accessories - but there is truly no need - pickups, bridge, intonation perfect right out of the box-AMAZING!The three toggle switches were designed and placed RIGHT for ease of use in play. The 12 string neck plays like an SG itself, and is lifted to the right height for ease of play.(It MELTS under your fingers-not near the effort required to get a bar chord as most 12 stringers.) The 6 neck is also PERFECT to what you would hope for. The only negative I have is the weight. I'm a farmer and carpenter - strong and healthy. 20 minutes into it I needed the hot tub. Stuffing a sock with foam and putting it under the strap helps. GET A PADDED STRAP (and a barstool if you will play it more than 1 song at a time)! Do not regret waiting as I have. This guitar IS a Gibson in every respect but three - chrome instead of gold, and the name on the headstock, and three extra thousand bucks are left in your pocket. Other than that, I defy anyone to tell the difference. Epiphone is owned by Gibson. Why take a $4000 instrument into night clubs to get banged up? For a rhythm guitarist, studio musician, and anything else I can think of, this is the real deal.

I absolutely love this guitar. I wanted this guitar for the 12 string, but the 6 string SG is awesome also. It stays in tune, the action is great, and the tones are excellent. The toggle switches are a little noisy.

Buy one.

Plays Great!

I recieved this guitar afew days ago. Checked it out, tuned it, and prayed for the best. Well, I was pleasently suprised. It plays Very Good on both necks. Fretbaords are good(and fast). Finish is beautiful. For the price, I don't see how you can go wrong. Pickups on both necks are very distinctive sounding. The only thing I can really complain about is the weight. It is heavy, but its worth it. Would I recommend it? Most definetly, but be aware of the weight issue.
