Needs some more punch

I bought one of these about 2 years ago to be my primary live guitar. Has definitely stood up to a lot of playing and abuse, I'm not one to put a guitar in the corner to look at it. After about 7 months however, I bought another LP style guitar that had a much better sound and this became my backup. After toiling over the fact that I don't play it much, I took it in and had Lindy Fralin pickups put in it. These have taken this guitar to the next level. Really, if you want a great guitar and don't want to spend for the Gibby, then get this thing and put in higher caliber pickups (plus replace all the wiring and pots too) and you'll have the best axe in your arsenal or a great backup to a pro-level gibby. Would rate this better than a low end gibby with the addition of new pickups. Great buy for the price.

I bought this guitar about 2 months ago and it is amazing it gives that classic les paul sound for the price of an epi great for people like my self who can't afford a gibson. Best lefty epiphone out there you can't go wrong with this guitar its rlly perfect for all styles of music, i do have some trouble getting a country twang out of it though.

This is LP for sure, great sustain, good sound and very responsive touch. There are some slight downsides. Needs some adjustments cos buzz and bone nut is cut too deep, that's why buzz is. This is close to Gibson I used to have, very good thing.

Nice AX if you Modify

Bought this Les Paul Standard Epiphone reasoning it was basically the same body wise as the Gibson version. Nice ax, but had to modify in order to make it the same quality as Gibsons Les Paul. Put on locking tuning keys, bone nut, new pots, Dunkin Antiquity Humbuckers (these are made to mid 50's standards, warm and much sustain), and now I have a Les Paul to equal Jimmy Page's in sound and playability for half the price!
