Epiphone Les Paul Plus Top Guitar

After hitting a dry spot in my learning I bought this guitar at a pawn shop as my first electric guitar. This guitar re-ignited my fire and set me on a path toward a career of music. It played really smooth and the flamed maple top was very well done. But that's where the sweetness pretty much stopped, the tone produced from the cheap humbuckers was nothing extraordinary and after a while my rythym pickup fizzled due to extreme faulty wiring that could not be fixed. Also the tuners that came equipped on the guitar were not so good. But as a begginers guitar I'd say this was the best buy possible due to my financial situation and the fact that this guitar was at the time the best available. So in short I highly advise this guitar for learning guitarists but not for a pro.

i got my les paul 2 years ago and every second since then ive been in love. the pickups stock were good, but i upgraded them to a seymour duncan sh-6 and a dimarzio paf classic.now in my opinion it sounds and feels better than a gibson. if your looking for a cheap gibson then buy this you wont be disapointed.these les pauls use the same wood same machine heads and relatively same neck joining process the only main diffrences are the pickups and the logo.

I've owned my Les Paul Plus Top for about 6 years now. This is not a beginners guitar, it's for those who are excelling in their playing, yet don't have money to burn on $2000 guitars. My Epiphone has never let me down....

I have played a few guitars in my years. Owning 3 Fenders, an Epiphone sounded like a good change of pace. So I received this for my birthday. I restrung it with slinkies, plugged it into my Marshall half-stack, and ROCKED! This guitar has the best pick-ups for it's price range. It's finish is beautiful. The sound is fat, which is how I like it. At my first concert with it, I played the best I ever played, sounded the best I ever sounded, and all was well. I recommended this guitar to everyone who has 3+ years of experience.

I REALLY like this guitar. It was perfect except one problem. It feeds back if you're facing your amp, even when it's not loud, so not to good for concerts. My friend has this guitar and he has the same problem. Other then that everything is perfect.
