Alright. I'm gonna review this amp...

Alright. I'm gonna review this amp piece by piece.

The Guitar: *Basswood body. *Bolted on Mahogany Neck. *Rosewood fretboard with 22 frets. * 700T Bridge pickup, 650R Neck pickup. *Stock Epiphone Tuning pegs *Master Volume, Master Tone, and three way Switch. The Good: *It's a striped down rocker! It's good to start on, and it won't let you down. I don't like the pickups as much as others, but hey. It's a beginner's guitar. You can get a metal tone out of the bridge when you scoop the mids, and the neck pickup sings beautifully. I wish it had at least another volume on it, though. Pretty thin little neck compared to other Pauls. The Bad: Bolt on neck feels a bit cheaper, and the fact that I'm pretty sure that there's more polyurethane than guitar is a big turn off, but not that severe.

The Amp: *Gain w/boost. *Volume. *Bass, Middle, And Treble knobs. The Good: Easy and simple. Good for learning to dial in tones. High Gain when cranked.

The Bad: The input jack fails. Within the first six months. It'll start to cut out, and it will aggervate you to the point of wanting to throw it out the window! It also has a bit of hum to it, but that probably comes from the other electronics I have in my room. Moving it to its own own outlet helps a lot.

The Bottom Line: Good to start on, or if you just need a bang around guitar. I personally would shoot for a better amp once you get the money, but that's just preference.

Any questions just shoot me an email.

i've had this guitar for close to 2 and a half years now, and its still in great shape for the price. i usually play through a BOSS DS-2 turbo distortion, and lately when im playing around ill add a turbo overdrive to the mix, and it sounds great with them. for a ten watt amp, this thing is a beast. im getting a bc rich warbeast, dean ml79, and an epiphone explroer (probly the korina) in two weeks (i collect), and while searching for the guitars i wanted, i played many other, and this thing sounds just as good if not better than some of the higher end guitars. Now im not saying this is a guitar for a highly experienced musician who plans on using this as a main gigging tool, but it could easily work as a secondary or tertiary. the pickups are pretty good for the price, especially the bridge. they deliver some high output, and sound good on clean and dirty. my only real complaints are that the volume nob doesnt change the noise, and that my high E string breaks every two weeks (but i think that might be my fault). this thing holds tuning great. the only string that ever needs tuning is that high e, and thats just cause it always breaks! buy this guitar and you wont be disappointed. great for beginners.

This value pack is great for beginners. I got it about 8 months ago as my first guitar. I am very pleased with how well it plays. The amp is great but the only downside of it is that when you turn the distortion on there is a lot of feedback. if you are considering buying this as your first electric guitar then go for it because this set Rocks!

For the price, you can't beat this deal. I've had mine for almost three years and still love it. A friend who has played acoustic for 15 years picked it up one day and now he owns the same model guitar. I picked up a Digitech RP350 so now I can sound like more expensive guitars (I'm not an audiophile) without spending $100s or $1000s.
