This guitar is EXCELLENT!!!!! Especially for the money. I have played much higher priced guitars but this one is in a class of it's own!!!! The action is fantastic, and it doesn't go out of tune. This guitar is a must have!!!!

This was my first electric guitar, and for the money, I think I can safely say it was worth it. However, if you do have the cash, go for something else such as a higher end Epiphone or even a Gibson Les Paul Studio (those are great). Ok, so to start off the list of things wrong with it, I have to point out the input jack. For any of you beginners, this is where you plug your guitar in. The input jack on my guitar was broken within a month of getting the guitar. The wires inside had come off and had to be soldered again. Now the nut doesn't screw on right and the plastic plate under it is cracked. My second complaint are the strap locks. The one above the neck on mine consistently unscrews itself, and I have check it every once in a while to make sure it is tight. I was also let down by the fact that this guitar just looks and feels cheap. No pickup covers, binding, or fret inlays. The humbuckers are alright for the price, but you can definitely get better tone. The tuners are not great either. I have to tune almost everytime I bend a string it seems like. As I said before, if you're a beginner and just starting out, this would fit the bill. But if you're looking for an upgrade, this is definitely not it.

It's a really good guitar for the price, and it's great if you're just starting or if you have extra cash to spend. I play this thing constantly and never get bored, it is thinner than a real gibson, but thats not a bad thing. My only complant it doesn't have fret inlayes

This is my third guitar and so far is the best. It is worth every penny! Although i had to fix the the plug-in wires cause they broke after a year. And the pickup screws come out easy. But it sounds great and is easy to play.

So easy to play!

I purchased mine in a music store up here in Toronto, that offered a free set up with the purchase. Indeed, before the set up, I found it to be difficult to stay in tune. Also, I play with 008 gage strings so (to a lesser or greater extent) I find that I have to stay on top of tuning regardless.

That said, after a good set up: it plays like butter! Moreover, it's also really light which is great for long sessions. One thing that is funny though is (and all my guitars are Epiphones or Gibson) that my "go to guitar" is a Vantage Les Paul copy circa 1983. For playing live I'll always go with that copy and use the 100 or my SG as a backup. Why? For recording the Epiphones are far better, but live the Vantage is a work horse that never goes out of tune and has a seconday pic up switch that allows for a almost "telecaster" vibe when required.

But all in all: this guitar plays really well and is excellent value for the money. Oh, and it doesn't hurt that the black looks increadibly cool. My next guitar is going to be a DEAN CADILLAC! I look forward to commenting on that soon.
