I am fairly new to guitar playing. I have purchased two guitars before this one. I didn't know how much better a good guitar could sound. This guitar is fantastic and at a reasonable price. I now never want to put my guitar down! i RECOMMEND TO ALL.

New love of my life!

I am a 64 year old woman who was looking for a new acoustic with a unique look. I fell in love with the Epiphone Hummingbird on sight, and the reviews at M.F. were as good as the price, so I ordered one! This is my first mahogany guitar, and not only am I amazed at it's physical beauty, but the tone is so sweet it's inspirational. I've written three songs on it already, and I've only had it 3 months! I like the heavy strings it came with, even though the high notes hurt my fingers if I'm not using a capo. I'm a fan of strong, heavy low tones. As a former folk singer, I "finger pick", rather than use those little platic "thingys" that keep dropping through the sound holes, and this guitar's voice is GORGEOUS. No quality problems with this instrument either, it's flawless. The frets feel smoothe to me, and it "hums" when I slide up the neck. Love it! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this guitar! My favorite musicians and composers back in the 60's wrote with identical instruments, so the design has withstood the test of time. For the price it's splendid!

I played this sucker today. wow. I mean I would seriously consider this thing as a backup. Not a bad little guitar at all. Its so sweet sounding. Not sure what the review before this one was about but I think this little guitar is great.

I played this guitar while shopping for an acoustic. I had my eye on this one for a while before I actually tried it. I was disappointed in short terms. I was never fond of epiphone much and found better quality in other brands such a seagull. I suppose this is a good guitar for beginners but as a experienced player I would not recommenced this. Although this might just be my opinion.
