Suprised

I miss a few features that I have on my Behringer (older)212, which I HAD planned on replacing. When the Amp arrived it's vinyl covering was peeling off the back of the unit, not from workmanship but from, I believe, heat during storage. The Amp is suprisingly simple and an excellent unit for what you pay for. I can hide a lot of mistakes with the behringers effects. The epiphone is so clear that you will hear every mistake you make. A great little Tube Amp!

All I need

I put in a JJ 12AT7 and a used Ruby 6L6. Now I am getting BB King style creamy sound distortion with gain knob at 5 and AC/DC-type at 10, both on a humbucker-equipped guitar. Crisp and not muddy at all. No hum, but a nice bass punch through the Celestion. Happy about the switcheable 230/110 Volt supply.

I was curious about this amp. Very curious. Lucky for me it delivers the goods. And then some. I've owned mine for over a year. I tried all the other smaller tube amps. This one wins hands down for tone every time. Get one. You won't be dissapointed.

Great tubes

I have to say out of the box it is not too useful. but like the reviewer below I replaced tubes with jj/tesla's, and I use boosters (Sweetsound and EH LPB-2) to get overdrive and it sounds fanastic for the price. It's good that it has a little more headroom out of the box as I can get a very nice clean sound from it. the squeal is probably the lack of a -ve feedback loop, however if you place any pedal in the chain it will go away (except if true bypass). It doesn't have a s much 'bottom as my 1970 fender princeton but it only has a small speaker. I've gigged with it 5 times and never had a problem with it.

Rockin' little amp

I've had this amp for almost a year now and it performs very well. The sound is very clean and generally mellow at low gain settings. It's starts to show show some grit at around 11 o'clock and begins to clip at 3 to 4 o'clock. The distortion sound is very creamy and sustains well. For 10 watts, it plays pretty loud, loud enough to keep up with a drummer, playing jazz style, or with brushes. A full on rock clubber, forget it, come on it's 10 watts! Overall, it's a great amp for what it does well and I have recorded with it with great results. I play my Wahburn Idol through it and have also played an old Kay hollowbody through it and both sound nice and warm with good clarity. My only complaint is that there is no built in reverb on it.
