I have had this guitar for about 4 years. It has a good sound, sometimes can be a little noisy. If it's used with distortion I believe it sounds great. Just a good valued guitar.

Ok i was looking for a new guitar in my local usic shop and i already knew i wanted an sg. I picked a good day because the store had at least 50 epiphone and 20 gibsons in stock. I played one of these and it was heavier than a g-400. The clean sound was good, unplugged was iffy, and distorted was good, but if you buy this then think about a noise suppressor cause this is one noisy guitar. Overall if i hadnt found my vintage g-400, i would have bought this guitar is beautiful, but heavy and with a noise suppressor could be used to do great things.

This guitar rules, plain and simple. My bandmate got this guitar off of ebay and traded it to me for some epi strat, and what i gotta say is the playability is perfect, it sounds great but, i do have to say replace the bridge pickup if you want great sound(Dimarzio x2n)but it just wails and is a great guitar. Not many guitars play this good for the price, and it sounds great with my band and is great live.

I've had this guitar for almost two years now, and it's the only one I've played since then. Basically, it's a nice guitar, gives you all the things you could want out of an SG, for the mostpart.

Low-end Epiphone pickups and wear take some appeal off of the guitar. 3 of the 4 knobs came loose, and 2 of those have fallen off (I needed to hot glue them back on). The paint is slightly chipped around the base of the neck. The pickups don't have that good of an output and the output they do have is fuzzy and unfortunately hard to get a good sound out of. I would've upgraded them but the guitar seemed too beat up to be worth it.

It's a fantastic beginner guitar, though, and I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to get started.

This is an excellent lower budget guitar. for the price its one of the best on the market. the stock strings arent very good, i had to replace mine a week after i bought it, but other than that its perfect. the pickups are pretty strong and give a really good sound. it may not quite be a bona fide gibson, but its certainly the next best thing, and a steal for what it costs
