This will certainly be a collector's item in the near future. The Steinberger tuners are unique, very stable, and the best tuners ever made. This guitar should rightfully cost twice what it does. It looks and sounds great used in live performance. You will never regret buying it, but it is a limited edition. When they sell out, that's it. I love mine.

The Best!!!

I bought this guitar after researching it and without playing it.When i got it it was in perfect condition and the action was perfect. It plays everything from RocknRoll to Blues perfectly. The color is much darker than the picture.Similar to as SG.The neck is straight and the frets are georgesly done. The only problem i had at all was figuring out how to change strings. If you miss the obvious method like me just go to the Steinberger website and find the instructions because its very simple.Speaking of the tuners theyre excellent and they make string changing a breeze. If your a Strat style player this guitar might feel a little awkward at first with the neck heaviness and unusual body but with a few hours of play time youll be just fine.Overall the best guitar ive ever bought.

I decided I needed to buy this guitar after playing it in the local music store. Hands down, it was the most comfortable I ever felt playing a guitar not in the comfort of my own home. Not sure why people are saying that the pups are muddy - I believe they're the same alnico humbuckers that come in most epi guitars, which when you play through a decent amp really rip. The neck pickup has a really good punchy sound. All in all this guitar is great, solid, stays in tune. The neck is a bit wider than your average guitar too, which is perfect for chord shapes if you have big hands like me. Also great for shredding, it doesn't feel like you're playing a toy.

STAY THE EFF IN TUNE!

I really do like this guitar. What I do NOT like is how near impossible the tuners are to use effectively. I've had this guitar for 7 or 8 months, and the tuners have always been fickle. You have to play for about 15 minutes before they get to the point where they'll stay put, so you have to tune multiple times while playing. I absolutely LOATHE the tuners. But if you can get one of these to stay in tune, I'd recommend this as an intermediate-level axe.

I first got this guitar a little over a year ago and absolutely love it! Its hard to find a better looking guitar and I,m still yet to find a guitar that plays as well as this one. The center of gravity, however, is not where it should be making it unbalanced but thats what all firebirds are like. The Alnico Classic it comes with are muddy at best and the tuners take some getting used to. I put Seymour Duncan SH-1 and SH-4 JBs in mine and it sounds amazing! Although meant for blues, This guitar will play anything at top levels. To sum it up its an amazing instrument, but your going to want to change the pickups right away.
