Just received my alpine white custom Elitist LP and I couldn't believe the incredible sustain and creamy lead sounds I got out of the neck pickup. I've 2 EC-1000s, which are great guitars, but can't match the tone of this one -- I'm amazed at how good the gibsons sound vs my JB/59 or EMG 60/81 setups. Glad I snagged one of the final alpine whites before they ran out. :)

I spent my last few Dinner Dollars on the Beautiful Epiphone Elitist LP Custom in Ebony.

I’ve always wanted the Black Beauty look and sound, but don’t have a house to mortgage. I’m very picky about tone and I was worried about compromising. That said, the Elitist is the best LP I have ever played.

Firstly, it’s heavy as hell. And the solid body tells in the sound. I play through a Marshall Valve State 120 and the sound is so big and rich it makes me afraid. It also has a very clear register, every note is audible and the natural harmonics resonate.

Secondly the finish is absolutely amazing. Gibson Custom Shop Black Beauty is the only LP I’ve played that compares in terms of finish. I kid you not. Many newer Gibson’s, particularly some of the lower models, are made pretty badly, with sharp fret edges and gaps in the finish. The overall finish on my Elitist was near perfect.

The only issue I had with the Elitist was that its tone was deeper than I would have liked, so I’ll probably change the Pups to BKP's.

If you live on 5th avenue and are looking for a centre piece for your lounge so you look rock and roll, buy a Gibson CS LP. If you believe guitars should be played till the neck wears out, Buy. This. Guitar.

This guitar is every bit as great as it's more expensive cousin and you won't know the difference unless you really know what to look for, so if money isn't an option, but a Gibson, but if you want the best for a great price, this IS your best option>

I've always wanted a les paul. I tried a few other epiphones and none really grabbed me. I took a flyer and bought this one on the internet. It's an awesome guitar and I love playing it.

I received my Elitist the other day. I don't need to get through the honeymoon period to review this guitar. The pick ups are very good dark when I want it, clear when I need it, raunchy when I must have it! It arrived in primo condition, not a mar scratch or fret out of place. These guitars from Japan rival any U.S.A manufacturer. I wish that was not so. I own a Gibson Lp studio and a Fender U.S.A Tele, and Strat and this guitar is as good or better than them. Don't get me wrong love my Gibby. The fit and finish of the Elitist is just that Elite. I usually mod my guitars to my liking but no need here. I will lower the strings a smidge and put Ernie Balls slinky 10's on and that is it. The case that comes with is high quality. It may cost a little more than a Standard grade of guitar but worth every penny. If you want a great quality, great playing guitar, get the Elitist.
