Worn Cherry Black Worn Vintage Sunburst Arctic White

The Epiphone Dot Studio Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar builds on Epiphone's great tradition of archtops such as the legendary Sheraton and Emperor. Simplified controls and minimalist styling provide great functionality and elegant visual appeal while powerful Vintage Alnico V Plus pickups give it plenty of bite.

Drawing on the classic 335 vibe, with mahogany top, back, sides, and set neck, the Dot Studio guitar dishes out hot blues and rock when overdriven or thick jazz tones clean. The scale length is 24-3/4", with a nut width of 1-17/25". The LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece provide more sustain and string changing easier.

Epiphone Dot Studio Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar Features:

  • Laminated mahogany top, back, and sides

  • Vintage Alnico V plus pickups
  • Rosewood fretboard
  • LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece

This is a great guitar. It has a great sound and finish. It plays good with the amp and without it. This was the first electric guitar I brought, and the more times I have payed other guitars, I've been noticing that this is a even more great guitar. The dot studio is a real easy guitar to play, it has great action and smooth playability. The only problem is that it has only one volume and tone knobs. But except for that, this is a great guitar. I would like to buy another one of this.

This guitar is beautiful both in its looks and its sound. It looks better than the real Epi. dots in my opinion. It is extremely versatile and can play anything from jazz to death metal. The price isn't extreme and yet it plays extreme. It is an overall great guitar for anyone.

This is my first electric guitar in 15 years. I wanted a semi-hollow to play at home without blowing away my wife & kids, so it had to sound good unplugged. Compared to the Ibanez Artcore series, the Epiphone Dot Studio has better tone and more tone variation, plays very well, sports a fast neck, and is lightweight. The finish is a little rough, but I love the bare yet elegant look. Plugged in to my VOX vt-15, it puts out rich lows and mids, and the highs are not too bright. This is a great rhythm guitar for the money. As for leads, it doesn't scream, but it will sing.

I just picked this guitar up on a whim at my favorite local guitar shop. I had never really been a fan of semi-hollow guitars but the dot studio is versatile enough to suit my needs. I got it expecting it to be my at home guitar but i took it to practice the other night and plugged it into my stack and was very pleased. the only downside ive found so far is that the pick up selector pops when you change pick ups. other than that this guitar wails with pure classic swagger

Its a great sounding guitar, and it can pull off a lot of sounds. It can play jazz blues, and punk and all the other stuff you would expect from this kind of guitar, but surprisingly its got a real nice metal tone as well.

The worn brown finish looks and feels great, and it has a really comfortable neck.

My only complaint is that mine, like others has some really lose electronics. Normally that wouldnt be a problem for me, but unfortunately i dont know how to fix that on a hollow body.
