A good starter guitar

I bought this guitar not knowing what to expect since it was on the low end on the price scale. Out of the box the sound was ok not great but ok. Took the guitar to a music store and had them tune it up, boy what a diferance. They changed the string and set the neck height it now plays like a very expensive guitar. For the price you really can't go wrong, will have to wait and see how it holds up

Before this I was using my uncles old guitar and compared to this Epiphone DR 100 Acoustic Guitar my uncles guitar is nothing. It has a very nice sound and I personally think that the action is amazing. You might want to change the strings but the strings it comes with are ok. Overall it is nicely built.

First Guitar and I'm pretty happy

I'm pretty new to guitar and I got this for Christmas as a present. Out of the box it was almost in tune and easy to play. The tuner on my G string is a little difficult to work with and the stock strings are disgusting but other than that, it's a pretty good guitar. Theres a little bit of buzz but i expected that. I think the next acoustic i'll buy will be a martin or a taylor but this is definately a good starter. Buy it as your first or your backup, you won't be sorry. Oh and put some martin 80/20 lights on it too, they help.

I purchased this guitar when I was on my 2nd tour in Iraq to have something to bang around on. It was used and abused for most of a 15th month deployment in Baghdad; I never planned on bringing it home and didn't have a case for it. After spending so much time with it, however, I became attached to it. The guitar still sounds quite good and this is an excellent starter guitar for the price. I also own a Gibson Songwriter Deluxe Studio, which of course sounds amazing, but I would never part with my Epiphone after the company it kept for so long.

Best starter axe I can imagine

Pro drummer for 20+ years wanting to bang around on guitar for hobby, songwriting, etc. I talked to many pro guitar friends who recommended this and the Washburn equivalent. I swapped the strings after a few days and was much happier with the sound. My real guitar playing friends here in Nashville pick it up and are amazed with the action and sound. When I tell them what I paid a few have gone out to get their own as a back-up.
