From its beautifully inlaid headstock to its Frequensator tailpiece, the Epiphone Broadway is built to rock under the bright lights. When the show is over, it's right at home layin' down cool jazz tones in after-hours clubs. The guitar features a laminated maple body with a select spruce top; maple neck with a rosewood fretboard; body, neck, and headstock binding; f-holes; 2 humbuckers, each with their own volume and tone controls; a 3-way selector switch; and gold hardware.

Recently took delivery of an Epiphone Broadway. Beautiful guitar right out of the box. Nice finish, no flaws. Sounds wonderful, at a fraction of the price of a Gibson. If shopping for an archtop, don't let the lower price fool you. Headstock looks fantastic. Get a Broadway, you'll love it.

I love this axe, I've dreamed of owning a hollowbody since I was 12. I ran onto a sweet scratch and dent sell. A one inch crack in the polyurathine coating (not the maple top) Let me have this beaut. I am putting a Deluxe Thick body Trapeze Tailpice on it, a tune-o-matic Bridge for archtops and eventually aset of Gibson 490T Origanal Humbuckers Gold. I still only have the sweetiest axe I ever dreamed of OH I love that sound!!!!

I just purchased this guitar a few days ago and all I can say is that I am in love. The guitar has a smooth tone much like the higher priced Gibson jazz-style models. The action is fast. The finish is beautiful. It's well worth the price, and I bought it for a lower price than it is found for on here. I love it.

A solid axe

My pie-in-the-sky guitar has always been a vintage Guild Artist Award from the early 1960's. My late teacher played one for all of the 12 years I studied with him, and I decided one day, I would have one. But now, I figure because of their rarity and price, I'll probably never own one. I had decided to settle for a Joe Pass Emperor, which is a great axe. That is until I played this baby! It's the closest I've ever come to the Guild Artist Award! The sound is not quite a 5.0 because if the Humbuckers. But other than that, it is so close, it would be difficult to tell the difference! I even like this Broadway better, because I have relatively small hands, and the neck on this baby is smaller than the Guild A-A. Pay 10 Grand for the Guild A-A? I don't think so! Not with this Broadway around!

Retro review

It's my favorite guitar. I wanted a guitar that looked and sounded like the blonde Broadway Scotty Moore, Bill Haley, and Chuck Berry used in the mid 50's. The original p-ups sounded great through an acoustic amp, but not so great on my twin tube amp. So I swtiched them out in favor of Lollar p-ups. I got what I wanted, a guitar that looked and sounded like a '57 Gibson. The only problem I have is that the D string is barely long enough to get a couple of wraps on because of the tail piece. Certain brands of strings may not have a long enough D string. Even so I certainly recommend this guitar. Can't wait to get my next Epi axe.
