The Blues Custom 30 combo takes the competition down at the knees with pro performance and features at a phenomenally low price. Dual-channel 30W AB operation (pentode) or 15W Class A operation (triode) plus independent or interactive tone controls and specially designed Lady Luck 12" speakers by Eminence are impressive enough on paper, but when you hear the tonal quality and feel the organic interactivity, you won't believe your ears. The tube rectifier provides bluesy sag while tube-driven reverb sounds incredibly natural. 3-band EQ plus added mid control on the hot channel lets you dial in hard-hitting definition. 12AX7 preamp tubes with DC powered filaments operate very quietly.

I bought this amp about a year and a half ago, and have gigged with it numerous times. Which brings me to the amps only downfall right off the bat, this thing is a brute, which like most tube amps it should be, but invest in some small wheels or a road case for this thing if you plan on gigging with it. This amp has the warmest most pristine clean channel I've ever heard. Plug in a strat to this thing, bump the mids, take down the treble, give some bass, turn the reverb to about 6.5 or 7, and your heart will melt. As for the dirt, its great too, but im just a clean kinda guy for blues amps, I usually use pedals for the rest. With a vox bulldog distortion, this amp screams, but all in all, its very hard to beat at this price.

I wrote a 5 star review for this amp after three months. Now it's 1.5 years old, and the reverb springs broke, and the power supply and internal fan have failed. Haven't been able to get it fixed either. I loved the sound, but the quality has been horrible.

What an outstanding product. The Epiphone Blues Custom 30 delivers top quality tone at a budget price. I went to go purchase a new USA Strat from a local music store and ended up buying not only the strat but the amp that I tried it out on! I trading my 150watt "emulator" amp in for the Blues Custom 30. One always looses money on those deals but I had no problem with it as I came out way ahead in sound quality. I have heard very few stock amps that have comparable, rich tones to this amp. I am not easily impressed - in this case I am extremely please. I am having a very difficult time putting down my guitars (Charvel model 4, Epi LP, and USA Standard Strat) since I brought this thing home. I usually do not submit a review for a product but I felt compelled to share my feelings about this amp - do not hesitate to buy it - you will not be disappointed.

I bought this amp after seeing it advertised in a guitar mag, I thought it looked pretty cool and the price was way lower than most amps of this quality. I love this thing, you turn it on , turn up the volume and it sounds sweet ...and the build quality is unreal...a fan to cool things down, plenty of pre-amp tubes, tube rectifier , wow!!!! I use it with a six piece blues band and I have the power switch set to 15 watts...I know it's hard to believe because I've been using 100 watt and 60 watt amps all my life but this thing is loud..even in the 15 watt mode....the 15 watt mode in my opinion is a bit sweeter than the 30...the reverb sounds great on a low setting..I haven't had to use a footswitch because the overdrive channel cleans up nicely when you turn the volume down on the guitar....I use an Ibanez artcore hollowbody with humbuckers and a fender strat with single coils...sounds great with both...a great deal on an excellent amp...mostly for blues and classic rock...
