I had boss DS-1, a digitech multipedal, and the overdrive on my amp. None could quite make the sound I was looking for. With the Graphic Fuzz, I can boost certain frequencies I like, and cut those I don't. I can get that responsive, overdrivey sound I was looking for, but also formulate a wide variety of other sounds that may suit my needs sometimes in the future. I think the envelope sounds best with both the sliders at about halfway. If they're too high, it fades in an out if you make even the slightest change in dynamics.

I'm a distortion junky, and this is my favorite. I don't write many reviews, but this warranted one. I never use the envelope response, as it creates some unnatural swells, and there's a bad connection inside causing the entire signal to completely die randomly. All that aside, phenomenal, versatile distortion.

I've had many a distortion/fuzz pedal and this is hands down my favorite. It looks cool and it is also is the best pedal to use with a bass, as it doesn't thin out your sound like another pedal might. The paint scratches easily and there is no option for a battery, but other than that it sounds excellent.

This is the greatest distortion ever!!! I also have an American and English muff and a boss blues driver in my setup and they don't even compare. This pedal sounds amazing through me gibson sg and my marshall half stack. No matter what style your into this pedal will give you what you want, in a distortion. This pedal is amazing with chords and you get the added boost which I love, cuz compared to my muff, this thing gives you soooo much boost. The leads on this thing a GREAT, esp. For those classic zeppelin/sabbath/rage riffs. If you play a harder sound like metal and hardcore, this pedal makes your riffs come alive. Every once in a while, I'll dial in a tone to give me a really strong fuzz and I'll halfcock my wah(dunlop 535q) to give it that classic cream/60's style blues rock.

The quality of this pedal it great, really well made, and the EQ's stay in place really well.

All and all, get this pedal!!! It is truly amazing, like all electro harmonix pedals.

Man this thing really gives you the ability to, shape your distortion, I'm a bass player and most distortion wipes out your low end, you can boost lows to massive VOLUMES and take out the tin! The only thing I would change is the level adjustments are so easly moved, and I always used to bump them, So my solution was to suffocate the thing in duct tape!! hey it works but dosent look to cool! overall once you get it set DONT CHANGE IT, takes a while to get it just right!
