The Egnater Tourmaster 212x is a full size 2x12" speaker cabinet that provides both a sealed back and partially open back design. The cabinet is shipped with a sealed back but features a removable rear center panel for partial open back design. With the back sealed you get tight powerful low-end. By removing the panel you add vintage style sweetness reminiscent of old '60s and '70s combos. The large physical dimensions and all-birch cabinetry produce a sound that rivals most 4x12" cabinets. Loaded with the custom voiced Egnater Celestion Elite 80 speaker, the Tourmaster 212x is a perfect fit to any Egnater amp head. You can also use this speaker cab to turn your combo into a full stack. Fitted with heavy-duty removable casters and metal side handles this cabinet is easy to transport and built for the rigors of the road.

Very Surprised

I have a Mesa Dual Rectifier half stack. When our band practices, I have to transport my rig back and forth. I originally bought this cab to downsize my haul. This cab sounds very comparable to my recto cab at medium volumes and even better at low volumes. It is very adjustable to different styles of music. It goes from classic clean country tones to heavy low ended metal tones. I play in both genres. I use it alone at our smaller gigs and use it in conjunction with my recto cab at larger gigs. It shows out with clean tones with the option of open or closed back. I have stuck with the open back option. This cab is very well built and has very tasteful looks. I recommend it whole heatedly.

Just picked this cab up a few days ago. I bought the Tourmaster 4100 head about a month ago and I'd been running it through an old Peavey Classic Series 1x15 cab. It got the job done, but if that cab was a bricklayer, the Egnater is a master marble-worker. I had been saving up for the 4x12 when the guy at the store called to tell me this 2x12 had come in. It's cheaper, LIGHTER (very important), and sounds spectacular too. The detachable casters are very convenient and look pretty rugged. My favorite feature is the removable back panel so you can have either closed-back or partial open-back configuration, each with its own sound.

As a closed-back cab it was nice and booming with a VERY well defined low-end. With the panel removed it got a lot warmer and more chimey. There's really no way to lose here.

I can't really give a final verdict until the speakers are better broken in, but in the 48 hours I've had it, I've spent about 12 playing it; so that tells you something. It is HARD to turn the amp off and go to bed, or work, or whatever other obligation might intrude in my guitar nirvana.

I am extremely satisfied by the value. For what you pay, you get a LOT.

When I was looking to buy a professional amplifier that would last me for years to come my heart stopped when I found the Egnater Rebel, instead of getting the 1x12 I decided to get this baby and I couldn't be happier. The creamy tone that oozes out of these celestion 80's is incredible, I removed the back panel and not only does this cabinet look sexy but the headroom it provides is incredible. Hopefully someday I will be able to afford a Tourmaster Combo to stack on this baby but for right now I have no problems. Bruce I love your quality, never change.
