Simply put,This is a beautiful guitar that plays and sounds as good as it looks,it was set up and ready to play right out of the box[very sweet!]though IMO the "X-tone PA-1" is NOT for someone who is looking for an acoustic guitar to play mostly unplugged,because it is more of an electric axe then an acoustic guitar,and unplugged it is not much louder then my les paul,so if you are looking for an acoustic/electric with rich tone,or to jam with other musicians in a strictly unplugged setting..this is not the axe for you. but when the PA-1 is run through an amp it is nothing short of amazing,I use my little Roland Micro Cube amp,and it seems to be a perfect combo, so if you are looking for an acoustic that plays and sounds more like an electric,and plan on using an amp more than not..this is the perfect guitar for you,awesome axe!..cheers guys/gals;)

Just brought this guitar 2 days ago and was not sure what I was going to get since I did not personally play one before ordering...but to my amazement this guitar is fantastic for the price. It also is a must buy on a budget. You will not be dissapointed with this purchase. It also sounds incredible out of the box...This is an excellent instrument! V PS. ESP has outdone themselves on this one...GREAT JOB!

I recently bought this guitar on-line after seeing someone play one live. It looked great and sounded excellent. When my guitar came, I was not disappointed, the tone was just right and the action was perfect. For the price, I was amazed.

Even unplugged, this guitar's semi-acoustic set gives a great sound for practicing. Also, plugged in, the built-in pickups sound great, which combined with the acoustics, give a deep warm tone. The understated elegance of this guitar is also just beautiful and would complement any collection.

GREAT guitar for the price, as the next similar instrument up is the Taylor T5 at $2k+, and as a working musician, I ain't feelin that. Electronics on the PA-1 are sound great. However, it comes set up like a NIGHTMARE! I had to pay $100+ to get the thing to play well. The action comes WAY too high on this guitar, and I had to get the FRETS filed down. Major pain. It's really put me off of ordering another ESP. So in short I had to spend more $$ & time before I got the PA-1 to play satisfactorily, but now it works great & I still saved over grand by not having to purchase a T5.
