I can't believe it took me so long to come across this guitar... it's exactly what I was looking for. I've only been playing for about two years and as badly as I wanted a fancy, expensive guitar, I knew my first electric would have to be something cheaper. I was SO excited the first time I came across the ESP PC-1V. It was in a local guitar store and the moment I sat down to play it I knew it was the one for me. Beautiful sound and very fun to play, even without an amplifier. I recommend it to ANYONE looking for a new guitar, not just beginners like me...Several experienced guitarists at my college have been awed by it. A WONDERFUL GUITAR.

I own two of these guitars (PC-1V and PC-1). The PC-1V here is obviously the Bigsby equipped guitar while the PC-1 is the stoptail version (no longer made). I've been playing for 16 years, own mostly USA-made guitars, and can say that these are excellent quality or their price range. I've gigged with mine a few times and they hold up well aside from the slight tuning issues that Bigsby equipped guitars are known for.

The deciding factor for me was the pickups. You get a genuine USA Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro set which makes a tremendous difference compared to other budget semi-hollow guitars.

These things feel solid, play smoothly, and just look plain cool. The inlays are also a nice touch- a combination of abalone and pearloid. ESP has a dedicated line of XTone hardshell cases available too which I purchased for each of mine.

I only knock a point off for the PC-1V because the addition of locking tuners would have been nice for added Bigsby tuning stability, though it may have driven the cost up. Like ANY Bigsby bridge your tuning tends to go off by a quarter step or so from time to time.

XTone- A hidden gem.

I've been looking at the Xtone PC-1V for a long time, but only the brown sunburst was available. Finally saw a Blem white one, so I jumped on it.

Positives: guitar looks gorgeous. Sort of a white pearl, looks great under stage lights. Plays like a dream. As good as any $1000 level guitar. Sounds great - pickups are hot. You can get a very nice quality guitar for half the price of some "name" brand!

The best value for your money! If you want the semi-hollow body Gibson sound, this is the ticket! Doesn't need much set-up at all. Mine is excellent. I have found that ESP products are top of the line! This is my second ESP product and ther quality is second to none. I will put it up to any american made production line instruments. You will not be disappointed.

When I first received it, the guitar was as expected. No set what so ever. Also it still needs some minor fret leveling. I set the truss rod, bridge, intonation, and fresh strings it plays fairly well. Overall tone and feel are very good for a guitar in this price range. It still plays a little stiff. I haven't figured out if its the string break over the rollers or the nut. The guitar is suppose to have an earvona nut. But I cannot see any difference. I will say it stays in tune very well even with bigsby usage.
