I dont own it but i was in the store today and played it....i have played the actual signature model as well. All i can say is....FAST NECK! Its probably one of the best contoured necks i have ever played on. Could be a little fatter for my long fingered skinny hands but....u can shred on this guitar. Now this is the cheeper model so no one should be surprised at the cheep pups and bolt on neck...otherwise its put together quite well and would be a good beginer guit or backup. Hell ive been playing for 25yrs and id buy it.

i tried this guitar yesterday at guitar center and thought that it looked good but that was all first of all the pickups are cheap, and they give off a lot of buzz i used a line 6 but it wasn't the problem i have the same amp at home the neck was flat and it had several dead frets on it the only other good thing i can say about it is that the floyd rose trem was absolutely amazing but i do not recomend this guitar unless your gonna spend a lot more money to fix it up.

I have had this guitar for about 6 years now and she hasnt let me down. She sounds better with distortion than on clean, but thats what you get for stock pickups. Neck feels great, and i have never really had a problem with the guitar itself. BTW You cant not put active pickups in this guitar. You will not have enough room to put that battery because this guitar comes stock with passive pickups. If you want to change the pickups, stay on the passive side.

It seems that when you have a gibson you expect all guitars to arrive at your doorstep in the same condition but this one came in a factory sealed box and it looked good but than I tried playing it and the factory string height was awful. I read the "instruction manual" which I didn't think a quality guitar should need but I read it and learned a little more about it. Basically it takes alot of work adjusting the spring tightness than adjusting the pivot bridge screws than back to the spring bridge height and repeat, but once you get it to where you like it its great. Plays fast, very good high fret access etc. Word of advice buy an LTD with a CASE!! included. Or just buy a Gibson.

I have had 2 of these guitars (one for back-up) for 2 years now....and they both play wonderfully. They were ready right out of the box....of course I changed the strings, none of the companies including Gibson use decent strings on new instruments. One of the reviews here said that the strings broke within the first few months....who keeps strings on a guitar for more than a couple weeks? Anyway the guitar sounds great even with the stock pickups. I also use the KH Randall Half-stack. Wonderful when used in unison. If you are a Kirk fan like I am (or even if you are not) this is a great instrument for any skill level.
