The ESP LTD H-1001 electric guitar features a set-thru 3-piece maple neck, mahogany body with gorgeous quilted maple top, and a rosewood fretboard. The thin U-shaped neck with 24 extra jumbo frets provides comfort and speed. An EMG 81 pickup at the bridge and an 85 at the neck provide plenty of power and note definition. Grover tuners and a string-thru-body bridge keep you tuned and intonated, so you'll sound your best. Volume, tone and a 3-way toggle give you options with simplicity. Black hardware, offset abalone block inlays and white with abalone purfling finish off a great look.

Set-thru neck construction is an innovative technique in which the neck is glued to the body (like a set neck), however the traditional bulky heel is carved away (similar to neck-thru-body construction). This makes access to the LTD Deluxe H-1001's upper frets and the neck-to-body transition much smoother. Just as on a set neck, you will get a combination of tone from both the neck and body with the set-thru construction. The sound will depend on the types of wood used, but generally will have a fuller, warmer tone when compared to most neck-thru-body guitars.

This is an amazing guitar for any style of rock especialy. I love the pickups. The binding is beautiful and the fretboard is extremly fast and comfortable. The earvana nut combined with the locking tuners and locking bridge means this guitar is always in tune. I have never experienced a guitar that stays in tune the way this one does and I have owned and played hundreds of quality guitars. If you are looking for an all around great guitar look no futher.

I bought this guitar a few months ago, and I'm very happy with it for the most part. I also own a Schecter C-1 Classic and a Gibson Les Paul Studio. This thing definitely has more balls than the C-1 and a tighter, crisper sound than the Les Paul, even though it doesn't have as much low end. The clean tone isn't as bad as most would think for EMGs, although this guitar is definitely made for heavy distortion. It DOES have the locking tuners and the tune-o-matic bridge. This thing never goes out of tune, no matter how hard you bend the strings, it stills stays in perfect tune. My only real complaint about it is that the volume knob is in the way of my picking hand, especially when picking leads on the B and high E strings. I'll be removing the tone knob and relocating the volume knob to the previous location of the tone knob to fix this problem. Another guitar to consider that is similar to this is the Schecter C-1 Hellraiser, which I have also played and it is another excellent guitar. Overall, it is a great guitar, but you should definitely play one before deciding to buy.

I played this... and I own an LTD H-1000, the differnece in features was immediate to me, for one you dont have the sperzl lock tuners or the tone pros tunning bridge. On top of that the headstock is stubby and dumb looking,.. it sounds nice, but in the end it just doesnt have that amazing feel I get when I play my h-1000, for the price I'd go out and try to find a used H-1000 the value is just better.
