WORST PURCHASE I HAVE EVER MADE!!!

I owned this guitar about a year ago when I was in a George Lynch "phase" and I must say I am still regretting it. For as much money as I payed for this thing the quality was sure lacking. As you may know the paint job on this is not actual paint but it is a graphic and some of the colors on mine were bubbled up. This is an overall bulky guitar with the body and neck being made of maple. I didn't think it was as heavy as some people say. The neck is wide and really would better fit someone with big bulky hands rather than me with skinny hands. The push/pull volume/pickup selector knob feels like it would fall off eventually. It sounds alright but is nothing incredible and it sustains fine. I've played guitars nicer than this for a third of this price. It just looks cheap aside from the ebony fretboard and pearl dot inlays which don't really help much anyways. Really the only nice thing about this is that it has an Original Floyd Rose but my Schecter Hellraiser FR has one to so its not some rare and unique feature. As a final note I'd like to add that you would think that if you would want to sell this thing that you'd make a profit or atleast get your money back. WRONG, I lost half of the money I payed for it when I sold it, not because I was ripped off but because a pre-owned Kamkikaze just isn't worth that much, look at any blue book value. I'll never buy an ESP or LTD again and its all thanks to the Kamikaze. I understand others have had a better experience with this guitar but all I can do is telly of my experience and I beg of you to try this thing out before you buy it. I'd hate to see someone make the same mistake that I made.

I've played guitar for 23 years. Out of the dozen or so guitars that I've owned, I finally broke down six months ago and bought the ESP Kamikaze 1. This guitar is incredible. I don't even touch another guitar anymore. Nothing that I've ever played comes even close to the Kamikaze.

I HAD this guitar!

I LOVE esp's I have had more than I can count. Growing up on DOKKEN I dreamed of the Kamikaze! It was the one I had to have. After getting it I found that my dream was a nightmare. This guitar first ways 20+ pounds it is heavy as hell. I see why George is so big now. It played like crap and the Lynch pickup was so bright it just sounded like crap. I was not happy at all with this guitar. If looks could kill this guitar would be on deaht row. But another thing is the paint isn't paint. You can see it's just a cut out they clear coated over. Sorry, I want a better guitar than this. Again nothing aginst ESP because I think they are one of the best out there but this one is a DUD!

ESP Kamikaze 1 George Lynch

I've been playing guitars for over 20 years. George Lynch has always been my favorite guitarist and I've heard that this guitar is incredible. I couldn't afford one in the past, but finally found the means to buy one. What a gift this baby is. Absolutely INCREDIBLE. This baby is as heavy as a machine gun (I'm a US Marine so I do know how a heavy a machine gun is!)...but she rumbles when you play her. Absolutely superb. Now I wonder why I waited so long to get this fantastic axe. I love my new guitar. They are quite expensive. But you get what you pay for. I'd give it 5 stars across the board and say honestly that it is the best guitar that I've ever played. I am searching no longer. I found my "perfect" Guitar. Amen. God Bless You All. "Ducky"

Old reliable metal machine

I have 2 ESP Kamikaze's, one like this, and a custom shop model. They both rock! I really like the wide necks, as it gives me room for tapping, etc. This has been my most versatile guitar as it can play many different types of music well. I would highly recommend buying one if you like to have fun and play old 80's cover tunes, etc.
