Great pedal

This is the first volume pedal I have used and it works great. I have had it for five months now using it quite frequently and have had no problems. I run it through my JCM900 half stack and it is great for going from distorted to clean without having to mess with the gain control on my amp (single channel amp). HINT: If you don’t want to change level of distortion, then simply put the pedal after your distortion stage. The pedal is extremely solid and feels like it could take a lot of abuse. The operation of the pedal is smooth and its volume control is consistent making it great for volume swells. Another pro is how there is no tone cut. The only other thing I could see people wanting is a tuner out. I recommend keeping it wrapped in its plastic bag when not using it. I have read that some people have ended up with a scratchy pot in just a few months (not just with this pedal).

Well, this thing doesnt take away your tone which is good, but with the volume all the way up it still slightly takes a little bit of gain away, so I wired up a switch to it and i dont think it helped...when bypassed it has slight gain deduction when moved toe up, and when engaged it works as a volume but still doesnt give my full output to the amp, I'd say it gives 95% of it but I get all 100% without it

Let me expain...Yes I think these volume pedals are nothing more than an over-priced chunk of diecast crap. The reason I keep buying these is simple there is nothing else out there. "High Gain" their marketing company must not be musicians, and the people who love this pedal must not play out every weekend. I am not bashing Dunlop, I love their Cry Baby I have had the one for about 15 years, I did have to replace the switch. Please if anyone has any control of quality you really need to do something about this "High Gain" foot switch. There is nothing high gain about it. The bypass is horrible, and the volume when you decreasing it is not consistant. One time I have it and it is louder than I need, then the very next time it is completely off. If you are thinking about playing on the road stay clear of this turd. If you want a Wah Pedal then this is your brand.

Rock Solid

First of all, wth would anyone consider this the "low-end" of volume pedals? It's quiet and it sucks 0 tone from your guitar (a big problem I had with EVERY other volume pedal out there). I gave it a 4 for features because it would be nice to have the volume out jack, but since it's built like a tank and makes no modifications to my sound, it's the better volume pedal to buy. I laugh in the face of anyone who has anything bad to say about any Dunlop product.

First of all, to set things straight: It's called "High Gain" because it can handle high gain signals quietly... Also, I give this 5 for features because it does what it's supposed to do effectively and quietly I give it 5 for quality because, like all Dunlop pedals, the thing is a TANK and will take a beating Lastly, I give it 5 for value because it's cheaper than most of the other volume pedals out there, and (in my opinion) outperforms them.
