Not All That Bad...

I have the lesser 20 watt version....because it was cheap, and yes, it stinks a little, but I play it through my Boss ME-50 pedal, and it sounds great. And there is no way you need more than 30 watts for practicing anyways. If you're short on money, buy it now and then upgrade, but I would still recommend aiming higher.

For the Money--Wow

I'm guessing from the comments that the quality control must vary greatly. No problems at all with mine. I bought it because of the ridiculously low price and it compared very favorably with the much pricier Peavey I had been playing, so I sold the Peavey and pocketed the difference. The clean channel has a very pleasant tone. The distortion/gain is not great, but when I want distortion and other effects, I play through a Digitech pedal on the clean channel and it sound great. Actually, the simplicity of the amp is what I liked the best. When using a pedal, I prefer to leave the amp on a clean and neutral setting and make all tone adjustments with the pedal and the guitar. By the way, the amp is very loud (this also must vary based on the comments) and is great looking also.

It's does not have that good of tone, but it's good for using in your garage. Plus it's cheap.

Horrible tone

This amp has basically no tone, the clean tone sucks, and the distortion just doesnt cut it at all. Features are very limited, and eq doesn't help at all. I wouldn't recommend this amp to anyone not even a beginner. Go with a cube, or a practice peavy, fender or marshall. TRUST ME!!!
