I was gonna buy this for my daughter for Christmas, but my dad decided he wanted to get it for her. If someone wants to learn to play guitar, one needs to have a quality intrument. For a beginner, this IS the way to go. It's not some cheap department store toy. It is a real guitar. The sound is pretty much what you'd get with a good Telecaster copy or even a cheap Fender Telecaster. I mean it really sounds good. I've played guitar for 31 years and play in a gigging band today. If not for the Hannah Montanna jazz all over it, I'd take it to a gig. And may very well still, just for kicks.

As stated, the sound is very good. The neck feels raw, which feels very good. Might want to wipe a little tung oil on it. The only things I don't like about it, especially for a beginner, is the string saddle allen screws. The action is a little too high and there's a lot of screw sticking up when you lower it. I mean, A LOT, and the edges are sharp and quickly start chewing your hand if playing palm mute style. I took them out, ground them down, then smoothed the remaining edges so they're not sharp. The other thing is the machine tuners. They are about as cheap as they come. Easily and cheaply replaced with better quality tuners. All things considered, it's a bad (in a good way) little guitar and sounds great. Thinking about buying one for myself and repainting it. Maybe even change the neck to a full scale. Hey, for the money, you can afford to do a lot of modifying.

We just bought one of these Hanna Montana Electric guitars for our 7 year old daughter for Christmas . She had been begging for one when she saw it in a store a while back , so I ordered one from MF and it came in today( free shipping, WOW! This deal just keeps getting better) and this evening after all the offspring were asleep, I broke it out to test the thing to make sure everything worked, and I was truly amazed. The tones are wonderful and it's very responsive. I got to having just a little bit too much fun with it and almost woke the kids up :-) This is a quality instrument! I was thoroughly surprised because I had tried the Hannah acoustic guitar out and was unimpressed by it's tone, but our little girl wanted the electric ( I was trying to talk the girl into a much more expensive ,acoustic downsized guitar, but she didn't want any part of it, she wanted the Hannah electric.I was worried that I would be wasting my money on a piece of junk , but that is just not the case) She is going to love this thing. Christmas morning can't come soon enough!

I initially bought this guitar as a joke, but when i unboxed it i knew it was the real deal. it actually was finished very well and the pickups really cut through a rythm section when plugged into my handmade amp (Chesterfield N1663-R combo)highly recommended for real players on a budget, not just 10 year old girls!
