Here's the thing...

This piece of equipment when paired with the GCX is phenomenol. I have pedals, an amp, and a G-Major that I can all switch with this piece of equipment (when paired with the GCX of course). I think I have run into the situation of being 100% completely satisfied with how I change/manage my rig when playing a show. Let me tell you, it brings quite the smile on your face when with the press of one button you can change multiple settings without doing a river dance.

The only downside (very minimal) is that it took me awhile to set it up with everything. I was not familiar with MIDI at the start but I understood the concept. The manual is helpful to an extent but in my opinion could have been written better. Just as a reference, I had 3 manuals out, this one, the GCX's, and the G-Major's. You really don't understand what this thing is capable of doing until you start clicking around yourself. If you do purchase this and are new to MIDI, don't get too frustrated, your tenacity will pay off in the end once you get everything set up the way you want it.

Ok... I started with a very expensive rack, bought tons of expensive gear from here and ebay. Had everything coming together, then got programming anxiety! Too much rack stuff - it's not the 80s and I finaly was like "I would like to start playing and stop messing with my rack"... So...

I started to look into "other" systems. Purchased a Line 6 POD X3 Live, StompBox Modeler from Line 6, messed with a bunch of combo amps and then finally ended up looking into Guitar Rig 3.

The moral of the story? I started with the Ground Control Pro to run my Triaxis, G-Force, and a number of other rack gear that used MIDI. I switched to trying some "direct to PA" hype boxes that sucked at best. Finally I found Guitar Rig 3 and use it with some pretty expensive computer / AD/DA converters and love it... what am I controlling it with??? The Ground Control Pro...

In my extreme spending sprees, I have found that this is good for a lot of "other" things than just a rack. It's diverse, universal, programmable, and rugged.

I will always keep and replace equipment that can move with you... I went from 80's style rack gear to 2000 style digital gear... The Ground Control Pro is still my #1 choice for MIDI controllers.

If it were stolen or damaged I would replace it in a heartbeat...

If you are tired of turning around to switch your rack this is a great solution with a great price. Ease of use is awesome, just pay attention to the manual the first couple of times and you will get the hang of it. (I was very afraid that I would have a terrible time programming this) When you add a GCX switcher to this, it becomes very powerful. Midi control + 8 instant access switches is really cool. You can pretty much do whatever you need your gear to do with this.

The Best controller on the market, works side by side with my router, I could not live without, easy to use, sleek looking, a must have! Easy to program runs both of my amps and rack effects!

The VooDoo Labs Ground Control Pro is the greatest invention since the creation of cold beer! (Maybe the only thing better is the GCX that goes along with the Ground Control) This piece of equipment allows a musician to change the effects in his rack and also the channel on his amp head with the push of a button. Literally, if you purchase the GCX you can change everything that is MIDI controlled with one button. The Ground Control Pro is easy to use and is very strait forward. I have never been happier with a piece of equipment. The GCX and Ground Control is not just for people that have all rack mounted equipment; a rack is required (obviously) to house the GCX, but it can be used to turn on and off stomp boxes and also an A/B switcher for two amplifiers. As a matter of fact, the only thing the GCX and Ground Control Pro can not do is………get you a cold beer! So, if you are like me and want to have all of your; effects, amp selection, stomp boxes, whammy pedal or any thing else available with the push of a button go pick up the GCX and Ground Control Pro as soon as possible!
