The performance and sound of the new DigiTech Whammy Pedal with MIDI Control are reminiscent of the original red WH-1 Wwhammyhammy. All the favorite whammy settings that guitar players covet are available again at the touch of a knob. Added is a new Dive Bomb effect, similar to that of a Floyd Rose whammy bar pushed all the way to the body of the guitar. Another new addition is a MIDI-in jack, allowing remote control of effects via MIDI devices. Both type and control are accomplished via MIDI program changes and CC messages respectively. Wet/Dry outputs are provided.

One of the Best Pedals EVER

This is my favorite pedal I own. This thing is so simple to use and you're always learning with it and becoming more creative with it. I use it with the treadle backed then rock it forward, leave it then kick it off. I mean it's so versatile, like you can harmonize with so many different intervals, you can drop/kick up your signal to an interval of the setting. But the coolest thing is you can use it as a Chorus in the Detuning->Shallow setting or Detuning->Deep can be a Leslie Rotating-Speaker Sim. I mean this can be used in any style of playing. Try this out for sure!

i got this pedal for christmas and the second i plugged it in i was in heaven. it is the coolest pedal you can possibly buy and i cant belive i had to wait a whole year for it. it can do crazy things that sound insane and also subtle and musical things that can really make your musical creativity flow. i am very proud to own it and it makes all of my friends jealous. but it is a little pricey, but its definateley worth it.

Great Pedal; just keep an eye on the adapter

This pedal is extremely versatile. I mean, when you choose the setting that allows you to go down an octave, you can make your guitar sound like a bass! That saves you from getting your own bass in addition to a guitar. Plus, this pedal can be used for microphones for woodwind or brass instruments, so you wouldn't have to get any other ranges of them either. You just have to choose the right setting for the right song!

I received this pedal for my 15th birthday, and I had SO much fun testing the sound settings on it! Later, however, I misplaced the power supply, and I had NO CLUE which one of many adapters went with my pedal for a long time. I was in despair because of that, and thus, my pedal sat alone for a long time. It was only a few days after I turned 23 that I took my whammy pedal to Marshall Music, and the clerk found out that the pedal itself works, but I must have lost my adapter. The guy sold me a new adapter, and now I am just as thrilled as I was on my 15th birthday! Nowadays, when I keep my pedal stored, I keep the adapter with it. Also, I remember that the plug of the adapter has a red ring on the inside, unlike most adapters.

My duet partner, acoustic guitarist/vocalist Bonnie, was excited when I used my whammy pedal for some lead guitar lines. I used the setting that involves the fundamental pitch PLUS an octave higher, so it sounded like I was playing a twelve-string guitar.

Yep, I strongly recommend this pedal for those who don't want to take trouble installing a Floyd Rose or a Bigsby! The DigiTech Whammy pedal provides the tones of a conventional guitar, a mandolin, and a bass all in one! Just take your pick!

no more floyd rose's for me

I just picked up one of these pedals and i love it!It replaces the need to ever get a tremolo on a guitar,i can use my fixed bridge guitar which are way easier to tune and drop tune than messing with a floyd rose.It also does so much more it has a detune which is like a chorus pedal and it replaces ever having to get an octave pedal. Its truly a fun pedal and useful but there is one improvement i think they should make and that is a stiff return spring for the pedal for two reasons one it gives you a more natural resistance you are use to if you use a tremolo system.Second i do see where in some reviews it is a noted problem that when pulled up it doesn't always come back to the original tone and the only way to deal with that now is to hold pressure on it with your foot until you turn it off.I understand that this upgrade would mess up some of the other features like drop tune and others where the pedal has to remain forward but it would fix the main problem.I would still say its an awesome addition so get it!

I got the chance to play this today because my friend owns it, and I was really impressed with it! It sounded great. I'm hoping to buy one for Christmas, this pedal has a lot of different settings and I don't see myself ever getting tired of using it. Can't wait to buy it!
