great unit when scaled down

I use this unit through the effects loop of my Marshall DSL. I have all the distortion, amp sims, compressor and eq turned off and use it purely as a clean multi-effects processor and tuner. Obviously I get my distortion from the Marshall amp. In this context it sounds great, the effects are really high quality and the unit is portable, reliable and affordable. My main use for it is the delay for solos and chorus on the clean tone. I use the reverb occasionally but I normally prefer the Marshall spring reverb as well. Regardless, when you factor in the price and footprint of a delay, a chorus and a tuner, this is a much better deal. Besides, I also have a patch with the amp sims on so if anything happens with my tube amp I can go straight into the PA and finish the gig so there is no more need to carry a backup amp, the tone is not as good but it gets the job done and make life a lot easier. So I definitely recommend for professionals as a clean multi-fx that can also double as a emergency backup rig. One more thing: if you want to use this through the loop MAKE SURE your loop works with instrument level effects. Line-level loops will not work.

i've had this pedal for about 2 or 3 years now, i have never had any problems with it at all and it has suplied everything i've needed for composing and performing. all i can say is really take the time to learn how to use it so you can unleash its full potencial. all the effects you'll ever need and the equalizer and amp settings help you get some great overdrives.

Beginer Pedal

I have had this pedal for a little over 3 years now and I was pleased when I first got it but now as I get better, the sound I want is better. And this doesn't get me there. It is great for the value. And one of the down sides of this pedal is that there isn't any good distortion effects on it. Other wise the other sounds are OK. I would recomend this as a first peadal to some one but if you'r looking for a rock sound, DO NOT GET THIS

Stay away from multi-effects pedals!

This thing is really bad. Save your money and buy dedicated effects. Multi-effects pedals are awful, at least the Digitech ones are no matter the price. Amp modeling is heresy and should be banned. Please stay away from this thing and all multi-effects devices at all costs. Bad, bad tone. Ultra lame effects. Useless drum machine. The tuner is OK, I guess. If your new to guitar effects do yourself a favor and just listen to the sound samples of dedicated pedals to get an idea of what they sound like and start building your chain that way. You've been warned.
