The DigiTech RV-7 is a reverb pedal with innovative features like Liveliness Control. Add world-class Lexicon reverbs like room, plate, reverse, spring, modulated, gated, and hall, and this HardWire Series DigiTech pedal is in a class all its own.

The DigiTech HardWire pedal series represents DigiTech's commitment to quality and attention to subtle details. In addition to technical enhancements like true bypass and high-voltage operation, all DigiTech HardWire effects pedals feature rugged, all-metal construction, a wide, stage-stable footprint, durable, custom-machined metal knobs for a sure grip, and precision potentiometers that guarantee knob positions will stay intact.

The rugged, durable construction of DigiTech Extreme Performance pedals is just the beginning. Inside each HardWire pedal are technological features that serious players require—all updated and improved to their utmost capacity. True bypass preserves the purity of your original tone as signal passes through the pedal, and high-voltage operation further protects your sound by eliminating clipping and other signal degradation caused by power drain.

With the high-output pickups found on some electric guitars, it's not unusual to hear clipping when playing through an effects pedal. This occurs when the voltage range produced by a guitar's pickup is greater than the operating voltage of the effects pedal—normally limited to the voltage supplied by the effect's battery or power supply. DigiTech HardWire pedals incorporate circuitry that increases the operating voltage headroom above that of the typical effects pedal. As such, DigiTech HardWire pedals benefit a wider range of guitars and are also at home in an amplifier's effects loop.

DigiTech HardWire Series RV-7 Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal Features:

  • True Hardwire bypass
  • Constant high-voltage rails
  • 7 Lexicon reverbs (room, hall, plate, gated, reverse, modulated, and spring)
  • Indicator LED
  • Stereo 1/4" inputs/outputs
  • 9V DC battery operation

Wow! I've owned a lot of very nice boutique and rack gear in my years, but this unit is fantastic!

I didn't know about this verb until I saw that Bob Bradshaw from Custom Audio Electronics and "racks and pedalboards to the stars" included one of these on his demo board.

Very low cost unit that does what others costing 2x to 4x attempt to do. Small package and totally intuitive. I'm not a fan of the crazy reverse stuff, but it's there if you want it. If not (like me), just enjoy the lush room, hall, gated, plate and spring reverbs.

Lots of adjustments for a pedal.

Great value, great sound!

I have been using my RV-7 with my Taylor 410ce for about a month now. It is a great pedal. Very quiet and built in the USA with great craftsmanship. This adds exactly what I need for live gigs. Just a little sweetness to my acoustic sound. It is a great pedal. Check this out before going with the Boss.

I just received the Digitech Hardwire Stereo Reverb pedal with power supply. I have been playing guitar for over 40 years, play through a Super Reverb boutique amp with a Fender style 3 knob reverb set up. I think this pedal does it better. The spring setting sounds good and plate is awesome. The others add flexibility. I am tired of lugging around big amps and stuff. Here's my rig. Don't laugh. If you like a good old time clean sound it is great. Epiphone Elitist Byrdland into the reverb pedal. Reverb pedal into an Art Tube Pac pre-amp/compressor. Tube Pac into a Roland keyboard amp. Small 60 watter with a beam blocker added over the center of the speaker. All electrical plugged into a Tripp Lite power conditioner with ground lift for a laptop computer Band in A Box backing band input. Amp is small and light. The Tripp Lite, Tube Pac and pedals go into a home built box to contain the whole mess plus includes a cord storage compartment. All instrument cords are Klotz. Works like a champ. And will go into a PA for big volume. Absolutely no buzz, no 60 cycle hum, no nothin' but a beautiful crystaline clean sound. Obviously not for metal heads or heavy distortion minded players. The Tube Pac will give tube gain and warmth. Hope this gives a few budget minded people some ideas. Will be adding the Delay Looper next.

This is my second Hardwire product. Digitech has really stepped up to the plate. This is a very well made and rugged piece of equipment. I use this daily and gig weekly. Like some of the others have said you definitely want to consider getting the power supply. Now to the nuts and bolts. I really like the spring reverb effect on my rig. But depending on what you are doing, the plate, room and hall, settings are also very tasty and very adjustable. The reverse setting is fun to play with but not extremely useful. If you do not have a chorus try the modulated setting. As reverbs go this one sounds great.

Hardwire pedals are the best

I first bought the Hardwire Stereo Chorus and liked it so much that I bought the Metal Distortion. They have everything I need in creating "my sound" from my full stack. After that I HAD to buy the Stereo Reverb. The sounds are so good, easy to taylor and have such a wide range to choose from to make, or fill, "Your sound". As always.......the downside (which isn't so bad actually) I recommend buying the PS200-R power supply for it because it is a battery vampire and gets 4 hours of 9v battery life. I believe that you can get whatever reberb sound your looking for out of this pedal. Built well too.
