The HM2 was a little too much at first. But after sitting down for an hour an reading what each setting does I was able to emulate Brian May and the Allman Brothers to a very impressive degree, If you are loking to add some serious high end sound to your solos... this is what you need!

I have played guitar for over 40 years. I have used effects since the days of the Jordon "Boss Tone" fuzz box. I use two different rigs of effects; Boss and Line6. This pedal is far and away one of the best pedals ever developed or manufactured. It is extremely user friendly and sounds great. Using the MusicIQ function the pedal knows the best key even when I don’t. I can’t say enough about how good this pedal is. Without Slamming other Harmony pedals, I can only say I have tried them all and THIS IS THE BEST. I get nothing but raves from other players and listeners during my performances.

I play metal mostly, and have a rack mounted rig- in a nutshell consists of; -ADA MP-2 Pre-amp -T.C electronics G-Major I tried a few stompbox dist pedals as instructed in manual, and just couldn't get it work/sound well with my rig placing the HM2 in front of my preamp or using my amps send/ret. I noticed when using the dist send/ret of the HM2, that signal is always active, So I tried my pre-amp through the HM2's dist send/ret, my guitar into the clean in of the HM2, stereo out to my G-Major from the HM2. Very impressive. Clear and precise harmonies even at max gain.

Negatives; -no volume control at all -no panning options -no voice delay -can only store 4 settings -no MIDI Still for a stompbox, not an rack unit, the price right.

Brian May fan

Bought this harmonyman last week. First impressions, it's built well. Rather small, has a built in tuner, the key finder is cool. I have the Brian May pedal and the harmonyman's sound beats that. I am self taught, acoustic mostly, but play alot of electric riffs from the 70's rock era. Only I play by ear, so no technical training, and it seems with this pedal you do have to know your scales, which was a bummer for me! I have a vox ad30vt amp set on the clean setting, with a Brian May guitar. Yeah I'm a big BM fan, that's why I bought this! I've only used it a couple times so I might still be missing something. Overall once I get the hang of it I'll enjoy it more!
