The DigiTech Bad Monkey Tube Overdrive Pedal gives your amp a boost right where you need it, sending your signal from clean to smooth, classic overdrive with character and dynamics. Low and High tone controls give you the flexibility to boost or cut the bass and treble frequencies for just the right sound. The Level knob boosts the output level of your signal, and the Gain knob controls the level of overdrive distortion. I like this pedal a lot. It's not the best out there, but for the price, fantastic. I really like the fact that it has the low and high controls. It really helps you shape your tone. I recommend.

After the Digitech brand failing me time after time, I was beginning to doubt the company really cared about tone, reliability or customer satisfaction. Then one day while searching "Overdrives" on Google, I noticed the name Bad Monkey kept popping up in all the forums I was reading. After a quick visit to the local music store, I finally saw what everyone was talking about. Left with one that day and totally loved it!! This thing is bout the only thing Digitech offers that I'd ever recommend to any fellow musician. Almost 2 years later, I now use it before my Fulltone FullDrive 2 in my signal chain and I must say the two compliment each other fantastically. Get it and you'll respect Digitech just a little bit more!

This is a great pedal. Sounds similar to a tube screamer, but with the seperate bass/treb you can "tame" that mid peak. Lots of tonal possibilities. Not a distortion pedal, but a grat overdrive. I would easily compare this to the more expensive pedals out there. Not as many harmonics as the OCD, but still a great sounding pedal. I play a LP through a plexi. I would purchase this again if it was lost/stolen. Highly recommend.

I play through a Mesa triple for the dirt and a Fender Hotrod Deluxe for my cleans. I was looking for something to tighten my beast (Triple Rec) up a little. I was running a Ibanez Tube Screamer TS-9 and switched it with the Bad Monkey. Unbelievable difference. So much better than the TS-9. I would have bet money that this would not have been the case. Unbelievable price for such a quality effect. I love this thing and it is now a permanent part of my pedal board. Get you some!!

I picked this pedal up from a local store a couple of days ago, and have not regretted it. My Fender Blues Junior amp has only one channel so a pedal was a needed addition. On top of my clean tone this things rocks. Every bit as good as the Ibanez, or at least better for the money. Buy this pedal.
