The GodZilla is indeed one of the strangest fuzz pedals I have ever used. It is also capable of producing some of the coolest octave fuzz tones I have ever heard. Let me start by explaining the two different fuzzes that this pedal incorporates as best as I can. The first side (side labeled "bypass") is a unique version of the Devi Ever GZ. The reason I say this is a unique version of the single GZ pedal is because of the extreme sensitivity to input which this version of the GZ possesses. Don't be freaked out when you decide to use the first side on it's own and you don't get much output till around 4 or 5 o'clock on the texture knob. This is normal! This pedal was built before the single GZ pedal so it was meant to work this way in order to uniquely correspond with it's second side.

The sound of the GZ side of the pedal is that of subtle octave crunch. Thick droning solos and swampy two-string chords are my two main applications here. If you do, however, wish to incorporate the GZ side to more practical applications then simply stick a gritty overdrive of some sort in front of it (I usually go with the Devi Ever Electric Brown for this).

Now on the pedal's second side which is labeled "stomp." The second side of this pedal is the amazing Vintage Fuzz Master. The VFM starts off quite crunchy, but as you turn the pedal's "blister" knob clockwise it becomes a octave blasting box of mayhem.

With both fuzzes on at the same time, it is very possible to find yourself twiddling with the knobs for longer than you should while you discover the wonderful range of tones that are possible. With the proper configurations you can even get this awesome swelling effect. Some of the tones even kind of remind me of what the kitty on the pedal might actually sound like...if it were a huge house pet of destruction.
