I've had this guitar for a little over 4 years now, and I really have nothing but good reviews about it. It's a great value... If you like to take your guitar many places, this one is as light as a feather, the neck's nice and narrow- good for fast songs. I like the way it looks, and feels- however the tuning on mine is always SO flat when I take it out again... I've tried changing the strings and that seems to not be the problem, but while I'm using it it usually stays in tune. Overall, it's a good guitar. And really good for beginners.

I've had this guitar for about 2 days now and i gotta say that i love it (: the only part that is making me a lil mad is that the plug in for the cable is really loose and i can't get it to stay tight other than that this guitar is amazing!!! sounds awesome through my line 6 spider IV

I purchased this guitar because it was the best rated guitar in my price range. I was skeptical about it because it seems to very in quality according to reviews. when I actually got it though it was great, especially through a good amp/pedal. the only negatives I encountered would be that the transparent black finish on mine is in fact very, very dark and the body of the guitar is made of a softer wood so you want to keep it away from acute objects if you know what I mean. (oh and it the strap pins come out a little wood glue can easily fix the problem!) Other than that, nothing. The neck is strait, I barely have to tune it and the intonation is spot on. I recommend it for any guitarist on a budget and I think I'll be staying with Dean for my future guitars!

The quality was not that great....while it worked. Within a month the insides literally fell apart. The wires snapped and the input fell into the guitar. It also looks very plasticy and cheap. I bought this because the reviews were good and i deeply regret it.

This is a great little guitar for very little money. I got mine needing a set-up- the neck needed shimmed so the bridge could be brought up off the body, the pickups brought back up, the truss rod tweaked, and the intonation set. After that, this featherweight absolutely rocks. I chose it for it's hardtail design, which allows it to maintain tune even after my ham-handed eforts at bending. The finish is even, which is nice for a really cheap guitar. I've wanted a Dean since way back when I had a Harmony, now I've got one; I wish I'd bought one way back when. Don't be discouraged by the poor setup that they seem to ship with- a competent luthier will transform your "cheap" guitar into a real screaming budget battle axe.
