The Dean Vendetta VNXM is a 7-String Electric Guitar with a fabulous-looking lightweight string-thru paulownia body with incredible resonance. Dual naked humbucker pickups pump out huge chunk and searing sustain. Rosewood fretboard on a maple neck with 24-fret access is sweet and fleet.

Everybody loves a great price, but it's only a good purchase if the product is built well and performs well. Dean has provided both with the XM guitar series, as player after player comes back for more. You can bet this 7-string model will be in high demand.

This is one amazing guitar! Possibly one of my favorite guitars of all time. If you have never played a 7 string before, this is one you definately must get especially if you want to learn songs by KoRn. There is one thing I don't like about it, and that's the unwanted buzz or feedback from the pickups, but you can fix it by turning the tone all the way down. Other than that it's a great guitar to start off with if you want to learn the 7 string guitar. I'd also getting a KoRn tablature book if you're into koRn just so you have some songs to start learning.

This is for guitarists that can tollerate the minor problems it has. This is also for the beginners or new-to guitarsts that never played a 7string. The tone Definatly has a kick to it he Pickups are likek whast everone else says about it. The little black slots you take your strings through come off sometimes and you have that unwanted buzz when not played. The guitar, on the other hand IS light weight you could almost throw it around if u wanted to during a gig or what ever. I woulnd't reccomend it for for quality-tyoe guys

Good...For a Project

I recently purchased this guitar to experiment with some new music styles (i.e., the 7th string). Stock Pickups were okay but with a pair of DiMarzio X2n 7's it screamed. I got dual coil tap and turned it into a dream guitar. Playing for 17 years now, this guitar is a great guitar for the price. But remember, you get what you pay for. This guitar has alot of potential but for the musician that doesnt want to take the time...get a schecter damien 7 or a dean razorback. Both come with better stock pickups and more tone options.

SOUNDS UNDERRATED

I have only heard about this guitar. I am actually saving up for it and because it seems like a good entry level guitar. I own a six string dean ML and it's great. i've played deans and they are a very high quality, bang for your buck type of guitar.

The major problem I'm hearing from multiple posts is that there is a wiring problem and dead frets and what not, well I know from experience with other guitars that that is no reason to ditch it! thats an intonation problem or a pick-up problem that can be fixed fairly cheaply at a local guitar shop! I haven't played this guitar but I have played more expensive ones like the schector Hellraiser, and they are overpriced for what they are. I would buy this because of Dean's track record for making good guitars!!!

this guitar is great for someone wanting to get accustomed to 7-string playing. but i think the benefits only go as far as that. if you read the review posted by abacabbage the buzzing and wiring problem is explained. he's right- it's obnoxious. and it really isn't that reactive to your hands and fingers. but i will say that the novelty of my first seven string pushed me to learn and outgrow the vendetta quickly. i really don't play it much lately because i'd rather play my 6 (sound, playability, and quality is just undeniably superior) than a 7 string made of cheap materials that, frankly, isn't put together very well at all.
