Great looking, affordable, double humbucker electric!
Beginners and veterans alike will cheer for the Vendetta 1 electric guitar! If you're looking for your first rock guitar with dark, double humbucker sound or you're looking for a great backup axe, here it is. A light, solid body electric with a string thru body provides good sustain with less weight. 24 frets, 1 volume, 1 tone, 3-way pickup selector switch and natural finish.

ive been playing for 16 years so i know what i want in a guitar. Dean has always delivered the goods; so i tested the vendetta 1 out at a local guitar shop and i was amazed at the tone, versillity, playability, and overall design;especially for the price. ive very pleased and would recommend it to anyone beginner or veteran like me.. THANKS AGAIN DEAN!

This dean was my first guitar. Immediately after opening the box, I noticed that the tip of the head had the wood chipped off of it. Not a big deal (Adds Character right?). Rather than hassling our good friends at MF, I sucked it up and started playing. Out of the box, the dean was nearly in tune, and would hold one very well. About a month later, the 1/4" input jack started to short out. All and all, the throughbody design makes this guitar look clean and it plays well. The wood used in the stock is sub-par and electronics issues make me say that I cannot justify going with another low-mid end dean again.

Well, lets see. I've owned this guitar for 5 years now and have played over 100 live shows with it. No doubt this thing has held up completely throughout the years. The only thing that it suffers from is the pickups could be better but what would you expect for 219? Overall this guitar is simply amazing, it will hold up through anything.

I have owned the Dean Vendetta 1 for just over a year and the more I play it, the more its versatility, quality, and tone surprise me. From the internet I gather that most people who play this guitar are beginners/novices interested in metal. I have been playing for about fifteen years, and trying to learn some jazz techniques to spruce up my blues and rock playing. Set the right way, run through the proper amp (e.g., a Vibro Champ, Super Champ or a Vox), this axe can churn out some pretty unique and gritty, Delta-influenced, as well as jazzy, tones. (I especially like the weird and gritty noises you can get when going through the humble Pignose). Very surprising.
The neck is the highlight: coated in a sort of satin finish, it is immensely playable and very fast. Tuners are stock and do a tolerable job. The pups are also stock, and not bad at all for practice, garage jams, and bedroom strumming.
Incidentally, the setup was pretty good, but I had to lower the action just a tad.
This axe does *not* have to be a metal guitar. An excellent deal!

...and this guitar delivers! I've been playing this since August of '06, and there's nothing better for this price. Some adjustment to bridge height and pickup depth is recommended, but that's extremely minor. The quality is amazing; thus far the only actual problem was a broken split-shot on the volume pot, easily replaced. The tone is bright enough for acoustic sounding bits, deep enough for rock and metal, and has the high end for great artificial harmonics.
